This is the only podcast I want, the only podcast I need, until human civilization as we know it collapses.

Not much to say except that this is the perfect blend of not-doctor-recommended high-brow / low-brow nutrition for my post-covid era soul. The guests are lovely, though just having these two married humans yak, yap and prattle alone is worth the price of admission (attention, focus, time) and makes my little queer immigrant heart sing. I don’t know how I’ve listened for years and never written a review (well, I do actually. I’m old and didn’t know how 👵🏻 🚫) I came for Naomi after listening to and seeing her on Two Dope Queens. Instantly, but not creepily, obsessed, I found this podcast. Only to find delight in her Jewboo, fellow Kosher Komrade Andy. Super witty, authentic, relatable, and always with a touch of compassion. I know from first hand experience that it's far more effective and economical than actual couples therapy, with the added bonus of no "homework". 🙄

Hello, Naomi and Andy. Love your show and guests. CT is a weekly highlight. It’s 1995 and I finally got my first boyfriend at age 19. He was funny and smart, but highly manipulative and dishonest. As I was raised by super religious Christians, I had never dated anyone and had zero understanding of healthy relationships. Anyway. He led me to believe I was his girlfriend but dated many others simultaneously. After 1.5 years, I figured it out and left. Fast forward to 2017: my husband died (cancer) and who calls me out of the blue but that douche canoe from when I was 20! He told me his wife was dying of cancer and saw my husband’s obit. After a game of facebook detective, I found that HIS WIFE WAS TOTALLY FINE! A real piece of work, that one.

Naomi & Andy are so good together, and bring out the best in their guests! Alright, this is dark, but here’s my comment contest submission: The worst person I’ve ever dated was a family friend almost 20 years older than me. He was inappropriately flirty and planted little seeds when I was growing up about how the two of us were “meant to be together” (otherwise known as grooming), cheated on several girlfriends with me when I was in my early 20’s, and did his best to sabotage any healthy relationship I got into. Finally, after I told him I wouldn’t do any more sneaking around, he broke up with his long-term girlfriend so he and I could actually date. Two months into our relationship, he suddenly broke it off and made up some seriously insulting excuses, when in fact it turned out he was just overwhelmed at work. He went back to the other girlfriend, and I finally set a boundary and told him never to contact me again. On top of all that, he was terrible in bed. I have now been happily married to someone else for five years! Thank you therapy! And thank you Naomi & Andy for all the laughs and for simply being the best. ❤️

Lovely show. Andy and Naomi are so nice to listen to and give lovely advice! In college I dated a guy (for almost three years - woof) who was a jazz drummer. When I stayed at his apartment, once I was ready to go to bed he would then go to the other side of his room (he lived on the top floor of a coach house so it was a good sized room) to practice his drums and get high. Reader, I was not a smoker but surely got many a contact high. Also it is not the easiest thing in the world to fall asleep whilst listening to someone play their full on drum set. Thank god I came to my senses after graduating college!!

Dated a 46 yo man who love bombed me. THESE ARE THE CLIFF NOTES: Took me to his home town to show me where we (himself, me and my two kids) would be moving, had me meet his family, met my family and told them he wanted to marry and have kids with me. Fast forward a few months, he gets me pregnant, convinces me to terminate, then breaks up with me three days later. Told me that he felt having a baby along with my current children would hinder him from getting back to his hometown. He has no children and collets GI Joes. Thanks for all yall do💕

I love this podcast and also their Patreon For the contest: Worst person I dated did the unthinkable to me. Sometime after we broke up, she broke into my house and stole all my Lego mini figures. Nothing else, just the Lego. And when I called the police they didn’t care. It was hard to complain to the police “ex girlfriend stole my Lego and I’m mad” While dating, one time took the glasses off my face and broke them into half and then through them into a busy street.

I love these two so much. They ask questions of their guests that are actually interesting and spark amazing conversation - hard to find in podcasts these days! Also, just amazing chemistry between these two love birds. I love it! The worst person I ever dated was my high school “sweetheart”. I think the best way to go about this is in list form: 1) I was 14 and he was 17 when we started dating in high school… Not illegal but gives you some needed context. He ended up being the quarterback of the football team and I was the captain of the dance and teams (absolutely disgusting, I know) 2) His sister gave him a “Chinese calligraphy tattoo” on his kitchen table as she was “learning the art of tattooing”. All of the people in this story are white. 3) When I was 17 and he was 20, he joined the Marines. He told me he was being deployed to Afghanistan. I was a high school senior thinking her boyfriend was going to war! But then he went AWOL. Truly unsure how this impacted him legally (I was 17!) 4) He had an orgy while I was out of town. My best friend found footage on her boyfriend’s phone. 5) After I finally broke things off with him and started seeing another guy, he threatened to “chop his head off and put it in a jar next to my bed so I could see it every night before I went to sleep”. I was 18 when he told me this. 6-35+) He broke many laws that I won’t get into in your comments (see #1 if you’d like to infer). My mom called me my freshman year of college to warn me he’d been arrested and would be on the local news. This man lives in my home town, now married with several children. (I am and have been in therapy… Don’t worry) I feel like this HAS to get at least an honorable mention?! If it’s too dark please call me out and I’ll edit. Love ya’ll♥️

I love these two so much! Not only are they truly funny but they give me faith in partnership! Also, just love listening to the cadence of their voices. Also, great guests! What is not to love??? My worst ex was a typically controlling person. Dulled my shine so they could feel bright. Ick!

Compelling, hilarious, life-affirming podcast. Love Andy and Naomi both. The worst person I’ve ever dated was the assistant kitchen manager at a hot dog restaurant (and proud of it). He was also a close-up magician and an intense and violent alcoholic. He moved in with me but never paid rent, wouldn’t let me cook (“I’m the chef, here”), but never actually cooked himself (“I’ve been cooking all week!”) left his empty beer cans all over the apartment, never cleaned, and threatened to kill my cat. And that’s just the stuff that I can write on a public forum. Three years I stayed with this abomination of a man. Wild what a girl in her mid-twenties with excruciatingly low self esteem will put up with.

Andy and Naomi are so funny and charming! I look forward to listening every week.

Met this man on the apps just before he graduated from his master’s program in clinical psychology—he’s got a whole client list, yall—and, despite my request to meet somewhere outdoors and quiet, I pull up to a bar that is loud, crowded, and inside. “Can we go somewhere else? I saw a cute patio nearby,” I say. “No,” he insists, “I already ordered.” Strange, he doesn’t know my order yet, but I love a free drink. Bartender pulls up with two espresso martinis. I reach for one of the glasses, but my date scoffs and stops me. “No, these are for me,” he says, and drinks one, then the other, each in one go like a goddamn glass of ice water on a hot day. I wish I could say that I left after that.

…and also very intelligent. I really like them as people, interviewers, and comedians. I actually kinda knew Andy in college and I thought he was very funny back then, although also kinda scary. It’s interesting to hear him on this podcast having had lots of therapy and seeing how he’s become not angry-seeming as a result. When people don’t appreciate Andy, it makes me think they’re stupid, tbh. He and Naomi are both gems. I really like listening to them.

I listen to this podcast all the time. I love Naomi’s humor and her voice is super soothing! I’m starting to listen to the earlier episodes I missed and they are so fun but I really love both Naomi and Andy’s interview style/dynamic. What a team!

I cannot stop laughing!

Long-time listener, first-time reviewer. Andy is dead weight on this show and is so pedantic, always mentioning what’s going on “in his head” as if it’s uncharted territory but ends up being some Three Stooges-esque slapstick bit. I find myself actually saying aloud: shut. up. Apparently he’s a good writer? Whatever scripts he’s selling aren’t translating over the airwaves. The recent one with James Adomian got Andy to put his foot in his mouth a couple times which was a relief. Naomi, on the other hand, is perceptive, intelligent, razor-witted, compassionate, and hilarious. Been following her for several years. They’ve been leaning into this dynamic of Andy giving dumb advice, but it doesn’t add levity. Naomi’s banter and keen sense with the guests and insight with listener questions carries the show and is why I still listen.

I’ve been listening for years and find so much relief, engagement, laughter, tears, and learning. I love how inclusive they are in their guest appearances and how the questions are answered in genuine ways. I try never to miss an episode, unlike most podcasts where I listen for a while but then drop off. This just addresses all the real parts of life and acknowledges the (still continuing!) pandemmy and end of the world with compassion and humor. Would it be possible to invite Mohanad Elshieky? If you’ve had him on and I missed it, apologies, but his bits and random little videos are *chef’s kiss* delicious and I’d love to get to know his story a bit more!
