I love this podcast! They are both so real and I feel like I always walk away learning something new. 10/10 recommend.

Podcast content is amazing but I feel like the audio comes in and out a good bit. It is as if they take far away from the microphone at tim s and then right into the microphone so the audio differs a lot. Sometimes it is too loud and other times I cannot hear it at all.

I enjoy hearing the East fam’s stories and experiences through their different phases of their life before and during marriage and the honest, vulnerable, but authentic topics they discuss from not only their perspectives but with the variety of guests they interview! I especially love that they always stay true to who they are but recognize like everyone else they are still learning. They’re both very admirable in everything they do.

The only reason I gave 3 stars is because in the episodes I’ve listened to recently Shawn is extra loud and Andrew is super quiet. So i crank the volume to hear him and then Shawn speaks and my eardrums are blasted. Besides that I love the content. Super relatable and down to earth in a world where celebrities are only putting the “best” out there. You two are super transparent about the struggles of marriage and having kids. And Shawn I think one more baby could happen 😉 I’m a momma of the littles just a little older than yours and your age so I understand the struggle of what you’re going thru. Ultimately it’s your and Andrew’s decision but wanted to encourage you on another. We pray to have a fourth in a couple years. God bless and keep inspiring and sharing the good you are!

I appreciate you two for remaining real and honest in today’s world where everyone wants to be incredibly private and filtered. It’s so important for people to have you guys as mentors in life! You are doing great things.

Shawn’s been my gymnast idol since I was a kid, and getting to know her as a wife and a mom through this podcast is so special! I love that Shawn and Andrew are in the same stage of life as my husband and I with pregnancy and little kiddos. The podcasts are relevant to my life, they keep Jesus at the center in such a modest and realistic way, and their guests are incredible. I’ve also gotten the best marriage and parenting book recommendations from this pod 👏🏼 Keep doing your thing, East Fam! I’m a huge fan!

I get you guys individually and as a couple are religious but just as you’ve said you don’t like to talk politics keep religion out of other’s relationships and marriages. Throwing it in here and there I can deal with but a lot of times you have WHOLE episodes about religion. Other than that love the podcast and following you guys on social media and YouTube. Fix the audio I have to have the volume all the way every episode. SO QUIET!

Y’all are Greta and I love to listen but it’s hard!!! Everyone’s volume is drastically different!!!

I LOVE this podcast but the sound volume is so uneven. I have to turn it up to hear certain people but then the laughing breaks my eardrums. I love this show, I love the hosts, and I love the guests but it gets hard to listen to!

I love listening to your life stories and interviews! They are all awesome but please fix the sound! I can barely hear Andrew but Shawn is very clear. One episode I had turned up the volume so I could hear Andrew but the ads were so LOUD!

My husband and I love this podcast! Only complaint is inconsistent volume- usually can hear Shawn consistently but when we are on road trips Andrew is either too quiet or too loud not sure what is going on there but this has happened on a few episodes now. Keep it up we love listening!!

I really enjoy listening to your conversations and crazy adventures! I just listened to the 5 wildest stories podcasts and they were some of my favorites! Best of 2023! Only suggestion is to fix the audio and timing of adds. Sometimes you have been in the middle of a statement or thought and then you jump to an add and other times the audio level is so different between the interview and adds.

You do know he has to grow up and live with that name, right?

Seriously the best of 2023 podcast! Grateful for you both for creating space for positive content and crafting episodes that are wholesome, hopeful, and uplifting! I am currently a junior at Texas A&M and not married, yet have thoroughly enjoyed gaining wisdom from you both and from those you bring onto the show. One of my favorite episodes was with Bear and Mary Reams Rinehart. I also thoroughly enjoyed “I’ve been married to three different people” and all of y’all’s crazy, fun stories! I’ve been listening since the very beginning, and have loved & learned so much from you two. It’s eye opening to hear others’ perspectives on relationships, parenting, & marriage. My best of 2023 episode was definitely the ‘Good Grief’ episode. In 2014, my grandmother was tragically killed by a semi while trying to save someone’s life who had just been in a wreck. It was so sudden, and she had so much more life to live. Her testimony continues to live on as we hear of the lives she touched as a nurse and a believer in Christ. The impact of her death, believe it or not, has been so heartbreaking and so encouraging— even a decade later. I cried with you guys during that episode. I felt every emotion, and I’m glad someone has put it out there that grief is real, but there can also be such beauty to the legacy that’s been left behind. I love you guys! I can’t wait to hear the episodes to come in 2024! #bestof2023

The wild stories series are the best of 2023 episodes! Love hearing about all the fun/crazy/wild adventures you all have been on. Also the way that you two love each other and care about pouring into each other is one of my favorite things to see.

This podcast continues to be my favorite and the one I look forward to every week. The family dynamic and the love that you share is so evident through the way you talk to each other and the way that you lead your kids. My favorite episode(s) from 2023 were the best of stories. This is one of my favorite shows! I love the depth you guys go into in all areas of life and the honesty you guys have with each other and yourselves. It’s so hard to pick favorites episodes that were the best of 2023….the vulnerability and emotional episode about Andrew’s dad, the interviews with Drew and Jett, the wild adventures series, a life raising 15 kids, family culture, and the list goes on. I can’t wait to listen to all the wisdom and stories with 2024.

I only follow a few different podcasts and this is one of them. Shawn and Andrew are so down to earth and I truly look forward to their content. The content has good variety, but I love that they are open about their faith and all God does for them. The best of 2023 has to be the one has to be the one about the Aro box. It’s made my husband and I really look at our phone usage and what we want our time with the kids after school to look like. Thank you for all of your encouragement throughout last year and looking forward to 2024 and supporting you in all you do!

This podcast is the highlight of my week! The most intentional, heartfelt chats. You two are my favorite couple to listen to, as I a mom of 2, navigating toddlerhood and entering the stage of sports and activities. Your recent podcast about this was so eye opening to hear about from 2 athletes!

The easiest show to listen to and gain knowledge from. They have such fun banter and their laughs are INCREDIBLE. Their guests are always interesting and they have such great questions and insight prepared. THE BEST OF 2023!!!!

I am not joking when I say this podcast and getting hooked on y’all’s YouTube channel has changed my life. As a newlywed in June 2023, everything y’all put out into the world is uplifting and encouraging as I start into this new chapter of my life. I see so much of my relationship with my husband in y’all’s, so just thank you for being role models for me so many years after Shawn was my idol as a gymnast. This podcast feels like having a conversation with family and friends. It reminds me of sitting around a dinner table and just listening to the chatter. This podcast has brought me so much joy and it has been so fun to see and listen to Shawn and Andrew’s family grow right along with my family. my favorite episodes this year were the wild stories. Love this podcast!!! As someone in my young 20s just dating I look up to you both so much in trying to prepare my life, heart, mind, & relationship for the future family that I want. The world makes it seem picture perfect or tends to portray a negative family “hard” picture, so I appreciate your honesty and excitement behind family life. The best of 2023 for me was the episode with Rachel Cruze! I work in finance and again am working towards getting finances sorted now that I am post-grad. 💓

I love listening to Couple Things with Shawn and Andrew because not only are they a great couple, but their content is so relatable. I have 3 kids of similar ages and so I can relate to a lot of their family life and love to listen to this podcast during my “me time”. I think the #bestof2023 was listening to the episode which introduced Aro. It really put screen time into perspective for me and I think about it more than ever now! I have been listening to Couple Things since you started four years ago! I listened before we had kids and now find I can relate even more now that we have toddlers. For me the best of 2023 was the podcast on grief. However, I have enjoyed following the wild stories episodes, watching every episode at lunch on release. And the birthday interviews were very cute.

There are so many episodes that I could choose as the best but one recently that has stuck out to me is the episode on youth sports. We are approaching the time where my oldest will start sports and it was encouraging to hear the words you had about your experiences and advice when putting our children in sports. This year some of my best of 2023: -Reconnecting with old friends -the blessing of college academics (no matter how hard nursing school is) -family (they are there for you through thick and thin) Your episodes are very encouraging and relate to people at all stages of life. Thank you for the knowledge that you provide through your episodes that challenge me, teach me, and help me grow!

This podcast has been so inspiring, enlightening, and entertaining! Shawn and Andrew do such a beautiful job of interviewing and they always have amazing guests. In my opinion, the best of 2023 has been the episode of “Unlocking intimacy with Joey and Heath.” They shared a much needed message about phone addiction and provided practical ways to break free from technological distractions. I cannot wait to one day have a family and apply so much of what I’ve learned from this podcast!!!
