I have been enjoying Countermelody on and off when time allows since I subscribed. I love that once a month a singer is presented who has had some sort of anniversary. Hearing singers I used to listen to but have forgotten about is so much fun. Daniel (the host) manages to reintroduce them in such a way that you get to hear them with fresh ears. The “Barely Sang at the Met” episodes (only two at the moment, but I’m hoping for more) have been my favourite so far. Such wonderful voices with no real reason to have been neglected by the Met. It was truly a wonder of listening to revelation after revelation. Bravo! With such a glowing review, why not 5 stars? Well, I think I’m hearing greatness in process. With each episode, this podcast keeps going from strength to strength. To give it 5 stars right now would not allow for the awesomeness that is coming our way.

The Dusty ep was fabulous! I’ve been a Dusty fan for over 20 years and she’s my fav singer. You did a great job finding the best tracks (and some obscure ones I had heard but not in a while). Thank you for exposing even more folks to all the genius of Dusty Springfield!!!
