Xue has exhibited butoh work for The Online New York Butoh Institute Festival (2020) and was one of the featured artists of the Online Queer Butoh Festival (2021) presented by Vangeline Theater/ New York Butoh Institute. In 2021, Xue also presented their work ‘SLEEPWALKERS’ at Dance Nucleus’s Scope #11.

A sense of camaraderie is felt between them throughout the conversation, as it meanders between their patterns, creative outputs and motivations - as individuals, and as a team spearheading the growth of the restaurant. Something which was particularly poignant throughout the conversation was the sense of service that they embodied. Never satisfied and always seeking to push newer boundaries, they're unabashed about the struggles that they've had thus far, and through the medium of food, seek to bring together new possibilities to new audiences.
