She is the founder of the soul label, The Soul Exchange, born out of a club night of the same name, whilst also nurturing her love of house movers for her label Club Cowgirl. Machine Woman, or Anastasia Vtorova, selects 5 tracks to send into space on a cassette to teach aliens about life on earth 👽Machine Woman wears many hats. She is the label founder of Take Away Jazz Records and tireless producer of techno and experimental music, having released across labels such as Ninja Tune's Technicolour imprint, Sacred Tapes and Delsin. She is also the founder of a London-based meet-up where she brings together newer producers to hear their tracks on a Function-One soundsystem, alongside talks on the music industry.Growing up in Post-Soviet Leningrad, now St. Petersburg, in a difficult time, we went into how she danced to Boney-M's funk and disco to take her to another place as a child. Bristol-based producer, DJ and musician Bruce or Larry, is the first guest to send selections up to space to teach aliens about life on this planet. Larry is a musician who constantly explores and tests the boundaries of what is possible with sound, most recently exploring using shimmering vocals on his recent Timedance project.Touching on the soundscapes of his breakthrough Hessle Audio production from as far back as 2014, and recent singing production, Larry sends tracks into the cosmos from school days and university afterparty anthems that have soundtracked his life.
