Corporate Curiosity
Marisa Bloodgood & Khakie Nies
You’ve never heard corporate like this before...are you curious?
How Do You Navigate Career Changes?
In the last episode, Marisa shared that she had just found out her boss was leaving the company, and Khakie shared that she had unexpectedly found herself being recruited to a new company. Since then, Marisa officially has a new manager, and Khakie has left her previous company and very recently started her new gig. With a lot to catch up on in these topics, they dive right into a conversation about what it’s like going through all of this change, how to navigate the challenges that change creates, and the nature of our work lives being so relationship-based. Book References:The First 90 Days: Critical Success Strategies for New Leaders at All Levels by Michael D. Are You Curious?
Life got busy and we lost touch, but our podcast idea came back to us when we were randomly catching up so we decided to click record on our zoom meeting. The conversation flows unscripted, and we cover a lot of bases while catching up on our corporate careers. Our experience is limited right now but the experiences build up every day - we’re using this space as an excuse to ask the questions that you don’t normally hear direct answers to in an office. We hope you learn something new, and this prompts you to ask some of the bigger questions in the middle of the grind. Let us know what you think, and what you want to hear more of in the comments!P.S. Please be patient as we work out the kinks of editing and background noises, we'll get it down soon enough :)
