Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. There are those times in life when all of us stop and think “I am so thankful I took the time to…..” Maybe it was to get a physical and your doctor caught something before it became life threatening. Maybe it was to have insurance before tragedy struck. Jesus tells us the God honoring generosity results in people coming to know Jesus who will in the future, at “heaven’s gate” welcome us saying, “I am here because you gave generously”. Pastor Joel walks us through the teaching in Luke 16: 1-13

Jesus told a parable about greed in answer to a question about dividing up the family inheritance. Is greed something we actually struggle with or is it just a problem for someone else? Joel shares what Jesus taught to the crowds listening to Him.

We often speak of being “blessed by God” and certainly we have all experienced His blessing. But is there more to the “blessed life” than only receiving God’s blessing. Maybe His blessing in our lives is so we can let that blessing flow into the lives of others? Perhaps we are to be a conduit through whom God’s blessings are passed on to another person? The Apostle Paul in his second letter to the church in Corinth invites his readers to live life marked with generosity. To let God’s blessings flow through to others.
