Entertaining fun podcast about European politics and culture. A lot of great explainers of current political situations in counties that get very little coverage.

I was willing to tolerate the rank amateurism and extreme lack of charisma to get a good summary of European elections/news/social movements, but the recent episode discussing Zizek’s (yeah, pretty dumb and uninformed) take on French rioting showed just how lazy this show has gotten. 20 minutes were taken up with basically spoken twitter replies barely getting beyond “you claim to be a leftist, but say the left shouldn’t surrender the entire subject of public safety to murderous right wing psychos, curious…” The hosts could barely even keep their attention on that subject and the guest had to try and wring some kind of perspective out of them. If you were hoping for something like a continental European sister show to say, Trash Future (how this show was originally sold to me), look elsewhere.

Not as edgy as Chapo which may be a plus.

American here, not even sure how I found out about this podcast. Glad I did, though. The early October episode with an Irish leftist organizer was extraordinary. Great dynamic, good perspectives, worth listening.

Solid leftist comedy podcast. Mostly Germans and possibly an Irish expat. Die Linke would be proud, Tiocfaidh ár lá! Keep up the good work!
