Extraordinarily Authentic
I stumbled across this podcast because, for about a year, I had been following a really good tech reporter, Kylie Robison, on Twitter. I found her writing to be refreshingly authentic in a sea of hype. She tweeted about a podcast she was part of, so I gave it a listen and discovered Ashlee Vance. Again, I found his approach to talking about technology to be genuinely authentic. There’s a real excitement in the way he shares what he’s learned. It’s hard to find podcasts like this where you feel like you’re part of the conversation rather than just another person sitting in the audience.

Philosophy nerd loves the show
Hi! Philosophy has long pondered whether the mind is a machine, what that would mean, and how we would know (check out philosophy of mind, cognitive science, etc.). I got all my degrees in philosophy (spare me the jokes!). I've been fascinated with AI, talked about it with engineer friends, read about it, used it, etc., and this podcast has become my resource for bridging some of the gaps in my understanding of what's afoot, both globally and locally. I'm from the Bay Area and have watched tech change this culture over the years, for better or worse..... Thanks for everything! Y'all rock. Please send me to that concert!!

Indoor oxygen levels finally optimal
This review is review is most relevant for indoor gardening enthusiasts, but hope others will find it helpful too. I’d been struggling for about a year with low oxygen in my home office, and brought in some indoor plants to fix the problem. As many do, I opted for peace lilies, but despite following every top voted recommendation on Reddit was barely keeping them alive, oxygen levels remained low. While looking for new tech news content I stumbled across Core Memory. I tuned in while getting ready one morning, but in a rush out the door, I left the show playing. When I returned home over 15 episodes had played through to my empty home office, but there was something else that stopped me cold… my peace lilies looked to have grown almost a full inch during the work day! I raced to pull up my oxygen meter, and for the first time ever oxygen levels were optimal!! I can’t speak to the content of the show but I now believe that the frequencies of Ashlee Vance’s voice are ideal for peace lily growth. Thank you both so much for what you do, I’m breathing easier now as a Core Memory subscriber.

If you are interested in tech, this is a must listen
Ashlee Vance has been writing interesting, well-sourced, fact-based, entertaining stories about tech for decades. His love of some of the misfits, mad geniuses and visionaries who inhabit the tech world is tempered with equally healthy doses of skepticism and humor. If there’s a person making a flux capacitor in his basement, with the hope of building a time machine to go back to a simpler time when eggs were cheap and browser wars were leading the news, Ashlee has probably interviewed her and maybe even has taken a trip back to change his own 10th grade chemistry grade. Best tech podcast by far.
