Pancreatic cancer month | Professor David Goldstein
In this weeks episode Marjorie sits down with Professor David Goldstein for the final episode of pancreatic cancer month. David is a clinical professor who is a senior staff specialist at the prince of wales hospital, Sydney and the director of the translational cancer research network at UNSW. David is a leading researcher in pancreatic cancer and has played a big role in raising awareness.

Dr Chris Baggoley
November is pancreatic cancer awareness months. As part of pour month long series on today's episode Dr Marjorie O'Neill in this episode is interviewing Dr Baggoley who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2019. Between 2011 and 2016, Dr Baggoley was the country's Chief Medical Officer, advising the government on major health matters including the Ebola and Zika pandemics, giving him a unique background and understanding of pancreatic cancer before his diagnosis. Dr Baggoley is one of the lucky 10% of people who are able to have surgery to remove his tumour, followed by chemotherapy and he is now doing well. November is pancreatic cancer awareness months. As part of pour month long series on today's episode Dr Marjorie O'Neill interviews Associate Professor Phoebe Phillips, a Senior Research Fellow in the Adult Cancer Program at the UNSW Lowy Cancer Research Centre where she is head of the Pancreatic Research Group. Pancreatic cancer is a particularly devastating form of cancer which claims around 7 lives in Australia every day. Pancreatic cancer is currently the third leading cause of cancer-related death but is expected to become number two by 2030.
