Every reporter in LA has raced up to Big Bear to cover the heartbreaking loss of Jackie, our beloved bald eagle who passed at 14. In her honor, the show plays “Nightshift” by The Commodores, and Timmy is holding out hope for a packed, standing-room-only memorial at SoFi Stadium — a legend like Jackie deserves a full-stadium send-off.  

Barbra Holliday of Flappers Comedy Club joins to preview the Burbank Comedy Festival, which kicks off August 15 with Jay Leno opening the week of laughter. Margaret Cho and a stacked lineup of comics will be in town, with after-parties and shows at venues across LA — details at Burbankcomedyfestival.com. Leno also just received the 2026 Vanguard Award at the Burbank International Film Festival, and the city declared August 8 official Jay Leno Day.  

And in crime news, sticky-fingered thieves hit an AutoZone in Downey over the weekend, stealing thousands in car parts from a store that actually helps the community. A nearby Spirit Halloween got looted too. People suck.
