The Tim Conway Jr Show Hour 1 (8.5)
Timmy opens with grim news out of San Bernardino County: A deputy was shot while serving a search warrant east of Palmdale after a shootout. The update comes quickly — the officer is stable and expected to pull through, while the suspect who fired the shots is dead. Meanwhile, the man arrested at Trump National Golf Club Los Angeles with a gun and a pocketful of bullets, Marine veteran Jeanine John Taele, is under further investigation after police searched his Downey home.
In a separate security scare, a commercial jet took off from Ronald Reagan National Airport yesterday while President Trump was airborne in Marine One — a clear violation of the long-standing rule that freezes all flights at the airport just 3.5 miles from the White House during presidential helicopter movements.
And in a much lighter moment, Timmy ties the stalker’s unusual first name to Johnny Cash’s “A Boy Named Sue,” then shares a classic story from his limo-driving days: he once picked Cash up at LAX, drove him to a festival in the Antelope Valley, and spent three days chauffeuring the Man in Black, who insisted on riding shotgun because he “wasn’t that kind of celebrity.” At the end of the gig, Cash handed Timmy a golden ticket.
