Real people talking
Matt is a regular guy talking to interesting people. He plays the proxy for those of us who don’t get to visit with folks like this.

Low key the best podcast on the internet
My favorite podcast is back! I didn't realize how informed, inspired, and hopeful hat this podcast made me feel until it was absent from my life. Matt is such a brilliant conversationalist and he chooses interesting guests that aren't just other comedians.

good podcast
This is a pretty good "everyman talks to experts about current events" podcast. One thing though; Matt, please read more on Tulsi Gabbard before you go talking her up. She is barely a Democrat, let alone a progressive.

A genuine, fascinating podcast
Dwyer is a brilliant conversationalist who lets every guest tell their story. The guests include journalists, activists, artists, and many more fascinating people who I'm thankful to learn about. One of my favorite shows on the Feral Audio network.

LOVE
Truly fabulous. Smart, hilarious, creative, informative, and beyond enjoyable. I’m currently listening to back-to-back episodes in the office, at home, in the car. Listen. Now. Go!

Great for creativity
This is a great podcast. Matt interviews some really inspiring people. I started by listening to only the artists he interviewed but ended up going through every episode. This is a great way to get inside the minds of creative and motivated people.

Diverse and interesting guests
And he’s a good interviewer. What more do you want?

Amazing Podcast
I thoroughly enjoy this podcast every time I tune in and I think Matt Dwyer is doing the kind of investigative journalism that is sorely lacking in the mainstream media. He consistently speaks with fascinating people and has opened my mind in a way I never would have expected from a comedian with a microphone. This is a great listen for activists and artists alike.

The best inteview podcast in the bidness
Yeah, that's right. Maron is no slouch, but has he ever talked to a Black Panther who got exiled from America? Or a former Monsanto employee who has to remain anonymous because of the horrifying insider knowledge he's sharing? The mix of people Dwyer talks to are the most eclectic lineup of folks you'll find in any podcast archive. When it's dishing out the political outrage it's Democracy Now with dick jokes, but Dwyer's gears can shift just as easily to discussions about art and creativity.

I found a link to this podcast in an Al Qadea chat room. If you listen closely you can hear the truth.

Honest, endearing and real=a great podcast
I'll start by saying that I agree with so many of the other reviews posted here; this podcast is darkly funny, captivating, touching and addicting. However, what continually blows me away is Matt's humanity--he is graceful with each guest, he is not afraid to reveal his own frailty, and I have come away from each episode I have listened to (often hearing two each day, when possible, trying to catch up) with a deeper sense of the world. Because of his openness and authenticity, I think, his guests open up really well with him and seem to be endeared to him. Whether Matt is conversing a Buddhist teacher, an internet porn star, a renowned social critic or a psychic, like any great Chicago improvisationalist, he never says "no" to his guests assertions, and so his listeners get the benefit of hearing it all, unfiltered and without falling into the comedian's tendency to spin everything for a laugh.

Genuine and entertaining.
Just finished listening to my second podcast from matt dwyer-the pete o'neal interview. Captivating! What makes the show (besides interesting guests) is Mr. Dwyer's ability to show his genuine self and reveal genuine reactions in each interview. This seems to allow interviewees to relax and give snippets of themselves they may not have revealed otherwise. Can't wait to listen for more. P.S. O'Neal interview is fascinating, humorous and inspirational-will listen to it again!

Listen.
Today I managed to listen to two episodes. One featuring the stripper/BDSM and the other with Pete Oneal of the Black Panthers. They were both fantastic. Matt is an excellent foil for any and every guest that I have heard him speak with this far. Thanks, Matt, for providing me with perspectives I wouldn't have the opportunity to hear under other circumstances. Keep up the great work.

"Everyday People"
This podcast is such a great palate cleanser - I mean we all love hearing our favorite comedians and actors on everyone else's podcast, but Matt gets some of the most interesting "normal" people and does a phenomenal job just having an engaging and funny conversation with them - I look forward to them every week!

Really interesting guests, really interesting host
It's very unassuming, but after listening to the first, I've since listened to every one. Matt is funny, very candid about his life (reminds me of Danny Bonaduce in that way), and he's got really great taste in guests! This is a cool podcast. The end.

Vulgarly honest, the way I like it. Great job Fatt Squire!

Thick at the base and suprisingly veiny
Matt is very adept at moderating a conversation. His humor and wit have always been stregths for him. For a gentleman of such obvious comedic talent he is impressivley introspective. I truly enjoy his work

Host as Guest
The greatest thing about this show is how the host offers so much of himself in the interviews, it feels as if there are actual conversations and not interviews happening. It's an even keeled eavesdrop on some fascinating lives.

Fantastic!
Matt Dwyer is great! He keeps the guests as well as the audience interested and engaged. I look forward to the shows every week!

Original talent
Heres a guy who is on the cutting edge, really funny yet a twist of darkness with this talented interviewer. Listened to him while I was driving, laughing out loud, other drives thought I was nuts. Give this guy some exposure and he will be what others are compared too, none equaling him. Heard 3 of his podcasts and cant wait until number 4 comes out. Great idea to interview normal ( sorta) people and let his genious work its course. Keep it up, this is comedy fresh and new, we want more, we want more

Should be subtitled: finding the unicorn in life
This is a great listen. Matt let's his guests tell their story and deftly guides them through it when they get rambly. It's as if the story were a large etch-a-sketch and Matt was the large hands holding it, and when the time is right, he ever so slightly tilts, not to erase the work and its meaning so much as to transform them from an array of lines and boxes into a beautiful unicorn. Matt's gift are humility and honesty and curiosity and with these tools he can find the unicorn within us all.

LOVE Matt
Just listened to the Nora Herold interview. Amazing. So well done. Nora was certainly on her game (as usual), but hearing Matt tell his personal story, who injected his humor throughout, really endeared me to him. He's open and raw and super-duper funny. Couldn't give him a more heartfelt endorsement.

Eff Yes!
The first episode with Shane is fantastic and just goes to show the heart and depth of people who like wacky things. People are endlessly fascinating and this podcast celebrates that in such a unique way. It's like one of those simultaneously sunny and stormy days: funny and light with the lingering threat of the dark clouds opening up and striking you in the heart with lightening. More, please!

A refreshing radio show that doesn't bore you. interviews with walks of life you might not otherwise have acknowledged....I mean, come on, who doesn't have a question or two for a girl who does robots? i will listen again just to break up the monotony of living in California.....

Dark and Beautiful
This is a wonderful podcast, thank you so much Matt for doing it. To anyone reading this and debating listening, he has a very refreshing interview style where he actually lets the person talk and does not try to talk over his guest. His first interview with his friend Shane really lets you know that even if someone does something you may not agree with, that person has a whole backstory and if you took the time to get to know them maybe you would be less inclined to judge them harshly. Thanks again for putting this out and I can't wait to listen to them all!! Loved Matts Radio too by the way, you have great taste in music.

I did coke with Matt Dwyer once.
Just kidding about the coke thing. This podcast fills the hole left by Matts Radio. I've emailed him asking why they didn't do that anymore but he hasn't responded. I think he hates me. I should point out that I have never met nor talked to Matt. Anyhoo, I just listened to the first one and I can't wait for more. Wish you could read, Jerm

A Story to be Told
I'm not easily captivated, but the honest human element in this podcast is very unique and quite moving. It's like the profiles they show during the Olympics of the individual athletes.. We often forget they have a story/life that got them there, then as we listen our emotions are unexpectedly gripped.

Pitch black humor
It could be an hour of Matt reading a calculus text book. Was onboard for MATTs Radio and am glad that the dark half is back in regular audio form. Break a leg, Matt! Note that I have not actually listened to this first episode...
