The church, abuse, the victim and the perpetrator. When it comes to abuse, the church is reluctant to call it a sin. They’d rather protect the institution of the marriage instead of help the victim and call out the the perpetrator for their sinful behaviour and admonish then to self reflect and seek therapy as they pray for healing.
