Cloud Mechanics
In his latest No Jitter podcast, Guy Clinch gets technical as he describes how the cloud changes the ways that technology companies work together over the cloud to create new innovations. In the past the barriers were high including for the, “intellectual property owner to both to develop effective APIs and to make them available to external parties who wish to take advantage of them,” Guy says. He continues, “On the external developers’ side significant resources were often required to access, interpret and utilize the exposed resources.” The costs and other factors added up to both limit the numbers of companies who participated in multiple party innovation and inhibited the accomplishments. Guy shows how this has all changed by explaining the concept of web services has evolved from the ideas of the World Wide Web.
