In a world where we are encouraged to do or say anything I have decided to say less. Well, less swear words, and by less, I mean none.. now this might not be for everyone, but for someone who really loves the Lord, who spends a lot of time around kiddos and other people and wants to be the best possible steward of God’s word and the Holy Spirit, so that others may know Jesus better by knowing me.. I made this decision thoughtfully and carefully over time, and now - I’m going to tell you why.

Accidentally took a really long break, but I am back at it just in time for the holiday holidays. So let’s have a quick little chat about not making assumptions, not passing judgment and being kind to whomever and whatever circumstance may meet you this holiday season.

Comparison really is the thief of joy, so is envy and contempt and all of the other traps the enemy lays for us. So let’s chat about not only the laws set forth in the Old Testament, but also the way to eternity that Jesus gave us in the New Testament. And while we are at it, let’s dive into the fruits of the spirit and praying those in hardship and hurting and especially over those that are harder to love or do life alongside. Guard your heart friends, feelings are fickle, God is the only one consistently able.

It’s heart breaking the week our country has had and the losses we have endured. As I reflect on the incredible life of Charlie Kirk and what his loss and legacy means to me personally, I find myself called and convicted to share my faith, my love for Jesus and my hope for the Gospel to be shared even more now than it has been before. Let’s make Heaven crowded.

T+T got engaged but I’m still a bigger fan of my love story than I am a fan of anyone else’s and that’s how everyone should feel. If you are idolizing or obsessing over them, you may be missing the chance to appreciate or invest in your own love story. Anyone feeling called out?

How does one sum up an episode that started with the thought.. “this could go anywhere, guess we will find out when we get there!” But I’m pretty sure there’s some stuff about being a decent human, hyper fixations, being intentional and probably some other stuff. Enjoy!

Your time, your energy, it’s all limited. You only get so much of it. As someone who is a recovering people pleaser, take it from me that you cannot do everything and be everything all the time.. That friends is a recipe for burnout and disappointment. Allow your people to hold you accountable, to check you if you’re spending your time in ways that do not honor your priorities and values. Trust me, filling your plate doesn’t leave you full, it leaves you empty.

There is so much conversation regarding ADHD and the diagnosing of it being so common in kids now.. but very few people who actually have ADHD are doing the talking. So here I am, chit chatting about what it’s like having ADD and ADHD and interacting in the neurotypical world with those things. Everyone’s experience is different so keep in mind, this is my experience and some of it may ring true or relevant and some may not for you, dear listener. And that’s ok! That’s the whole point of having, a conversation.

In less than a week I get to marry the man of my dreams and his son. So in anticipation of that, I am sharing some of my musings regarding co-parenting a kiddo whose not biologically mine with my partner, parallel parenting with his mom, and how I try to love, support and include my step son every step of the way.

We (and by we I mean I) are back for season two and I am gearing up and ready to talk about all the things. Today’s my birthday so to open this new season of the pod and season of life (whatttt) I thought I’d recap what’s been going on the last ten years and more specifically the time since the first season, and then tackle some reflections and lessons I’ve learned.
