The American economy is hurtling toward a cliff, and the people steering the ship are stepping on the gas. Conservatives are getting punished by the voters for economic policies that are antithetical to what we believe. I’m joined by macroeconomist Tracy Shuchart of Ninja Trader to expose the reality of our stagflationary crisis — a debt-driven, heavily manipulated, "venture socialist" system that is masquerading as a free market and is being laughed at by the bond market. Tracy predicts that we will suffer “higher for longer” in terms of inflation and commodity prices. What happens when an economy built on debt, financialization, government intervention, and speculation gets blamed on capitalism?
