Mission and VisionAmplify (Inform and Entertain)Exemplify (Lead by Example)Identify (Relate to the Culture)IntroWe saved you a spot at the table to chat about the game, the fight, the debate...all over cafecito. Welcome to Coñocast, a show created by Daniel and Joatam as a platform to explore current events, sports, family, faith, and culture; all served with a generous helping of comedy.Daniel: BioYour host Daniel has always possessed the heart of a creator and artist. Creating content for Coñocast is the next step in a natural evolution for this Puerto Rican kid who grew up in Florida. Although life has taken Daniel to locations as diverse as Puerto Rico, Miami, Orlando, New Jersey, California, and Texas, he has always remained a consistent student of life, culture, and politics, and brings his broad experience base to each episode of Coñocast.Daniel’s most recent journey; however, has been a personal one. In 2017, weighing 483 pounds, Daniel made the commitment to a healthy lifestyle and has maintained consistent progress toward his goals. His focus on family has been the main motivation to keep him on the path to his current weight of 290 pounds: he strives to be the best husband he can be to his amazing wife, and he aspires to be a role model to his future children.Daniel will be the first one to tell you it’s never easy to stay motivated every day, but he has a life hack for you: find something you’re truly passionate about, and the motivation will follow. For Daniel, this passion is jiu jitsu. As a lifelong martial artist, Daniel has had a long-term relationship with the sport. As part of his weight-loss journey, Daniel reconnected with a mentor and rediscovered the unique camaraderie, real-world effectiveness, and hardcore cardio workout jiu jitsu has to offer. His recommitment to excellence in training is cyclical: to improve in jiu jitsu, Daniel finds he wants to push the boundaries of what he can do physically and psychologically - 100-squat challenge?? Bring it on!All this training and focus might make Daniel sound like a serious and somber guy. Nothing could be further from the truth. While he’s focused on his goals, any conversation with Daniel will include hearty laughs due to well-placed one-liners or biting commentary. Get to know Daniel and his co-host Joatam on the latest installment of Coñocast.Joatam: BioYour host Joatam is living his dream of creating content for Coñocast. As a Miami native of Cuban heritage, he is passionate about the movement to increase Latino culture education. Coñocast offers the perfect platform for Joa to explore topics ranging from news to sports to faith and family, all within the framework of a cultural perspective.Joa considers his faith to be the principal guiding strength in his life, and since 2013, he has prioritized his faith by living outside of his comfort zone. He lives by the tenet that when we value comfort, we seldom see God’s power working in our lives. Servitude takes precedence on Joa’s list of priorities, and he serves alongside his wife in church as a drummer for the worship team.Being groomed by a successful career in sales and logistics, along with displaying a love and enthusiastic knowledge of all things sports-related, make Joa the perfect host for Coñocast.
