In this episode Bishop Tim and Dr. John discuss a very important theological term--"Hypostatic Union." This is the mystery of Christ being fully God and fully human at the same time--the union of two natures.  Is this an important term for us to understand? How does this union of two natures impact my life and walk? If I don't grasp this truth, what false teachings am I susceptible to adopting? Galatians 2:20 (NIV) says, "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.  The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." I have been united to His humanity. To be united with Christ in our human nature means that we are connected to Him in His divine nature. The divine nature is penetrating us and transforming us. The Hypostatic Union is the way that we are being transformed into the fullness of what God created us to be in His image.  It is the basis for sanctification; it is what makes holiness possible; it is what allows us to walk in faithfulness and obedience.
