This can be a hard podcast to listen to but I find it so fascinating. I hope there will be more episodes soon!

One of my favorite podcasts to listen to that interested two of my favorite things: crime and reproductive health care. Listening to these well researched episodes makes my heart break because most of this evil is all for the love of money and power. Thank you for bringing these stories to light, Sami.

I literally just wrote a review suspecting this podcast of an anti-choice agenda and read some more transcriptions of episodes and it definitely is. Yuck, sad I listened at all. Interesting stories for sure, worth talking about but not from this propagandist point of view

These stories are riveting and often untold. Sami does an excellent job digging deep into these horrors and crimes against humanity. She shines light on the injustice being done, and sets a standard for how we should treat fellow humans of all ages.

I wasn’t expecting much, but I just binged all the episodes. Interesting cases, cases you wouldn’t think that they even existed. It uncovers the sexual sins, and impacts of these crimes on human lives that are affected by these situations. Excellent.

I just binged listen to all of the episodes and can’t wait for there to be more. Pregnancy is extremely rough on me but here I am pregnant laying on the bed sobbing about how evil people are. Abortion should be illegal IVF should be illegal! The episodes are informative and true. Everyone should give them a listen.

We need more episodes of this! People need to know the dark and evilness behind abortion! I love the raw no hold back story telling! These murdered babies need a voice and this podcast is accomplishing this! I recommend it to all! This is a binge able podcast !

Compelling story telling, heartbreaking stories, well done true crime podcast.

The post-war Japan story reminded me of Godzilla Minus One. Good story.

I was horrified by this story of an evil woman letting babies starve or freeze to death just to make a profit. Mothers and the Japanese Government trusted her and other homes with taking care of these children and finding good homes for them. What’s even more horrifying is that the solution to the problem of unwanted babies was the legalization of abortion in Japan. They figured better to kill the baby before they’re born than to take a chance of them being killed in one of these places. Couldn’t they just put regulations and inspections in place instead? Wow!!!!!

Well done podcast. Great story lines! I can’t wait for more.

This first podcast in the series was a most compelling story. Essentially after birth abortion. Whether they want to call it that or not. Looking forward to hearing the next podcasts.

Please consider changing the name of this podcast. Demon midwife. This story is not about a midwife, but the owner of a maternity home. Regardless of the fact that they called her a midwife, she was not. She did not help women deliver babies as a midwife does. Women dropped their babies off at this home to be adopted. The title degrades actual midwives and makes midwifery seem demonic, when it is not. Midwives work hard helping women and babies thrive in this world. The last thing midwives need is another arena in the world demonizing the work they do. The title could simply be “maternity homes in Japan.”

The podcast pulls you in - you are enthralled immediately and on the edge of your seat. One of the best I’ve heard.

These true crime stories are scripted and produced well. They are very engaging. I look forward to hearing many more.

I’m not big on true crime podcasts but this one was fascinating. It was entertaining and fascinating. I’d highly recommend.

Just listened to episode one — wow. Really impressive production quality but more than that, heartbroken by this story and grateful it’s being told. These children weren’t cared for or treated with the dignity that they deserved during their lives, but we can honor and mourn them now. Very well done Live Action

Who’da thunk post-war Japan was so sinister?! At least at one orphanage. Fascinating storytelling, gripping history, with implications in the present day. Five stars!
