Often our uncertainty about God is rooted in inconsistent ideas of what he's like that we were taught when we were kids. But if those childish ideas of God are incorrect, how do we actually know what God is like? Who decides? What is the authority that resolves our doubts and uncertainties? Religious people tend to have a lot of certainty about God, the Bible and how to follow Jesus. So how do we account for the sometimes conflicting beliefs that exist within the church? There are many contrasting views in the church related to things different people are very certain about. Is it possible that we are missing Jesus?
