As someone who has been away from magic since 8th edition. I just started getting back into it. I don’t really play competitively anymore but I do really enjoy commander. From what I’ve seen from Command zone. My first deck I played in tournaments was a goblin bidding deck. Then I played morphs which were fun. I believe this was in the 90s. Trying to build a commander deck based on Sidisi undead vizier right now.

In the episode I listened to, the start was more than 10 minutes long! Before they got to any commander building. This might be the best podcast in the world, I don’t know, but currently I’d go with the command zone every day of the week

I listen to a lot of podcasts, and have listened to a lot of magic podcasts. This one is my favorite of the bunch. These guys have incredible chemestry, and such imagination and humor. They are a pleasure to listen to and an inspiration in deck building.

These guys are always fun to listen to. They make a Magic: the Gathering Commander deck every episode, with a $50 budget restriction. Funny, witty and knowledgeable hosts make this a great rated-G pod to listen to.

Andy and Sean are funny, engaging, creative and intelligent. Each episode, they break out a commander card or two and build a budget brew around a theme. There's plenty of fun to be had along the way and you're invited to come along. I've listened to every commander podcast there is, and this is by far my favorite. Whether you're a budget brewer or not, you'll learn a lot and in a very engaging way. 5 stars. In 3 words: IT'S A TREAT.

A fun and informative podcast. Not only are the hosts fun to listen to, they have great advice, and really grasp what got me into the EDH format to begin with. This is a celebration of whimsy, variety, and I exploration.

I listen to a lot of magic podcasts. Many of those are Commander related and this one has become my favorite. If you play Magic, especially Commander/EDH you definitely need to listen to this show! Every episode there is at least one segment (often times more) where I just lose it and crack up. Super hilarious, great content. Make sure you stick around until the end to hear the “Brews News” segment.

A really fun and interesting take on the deck building. I love the budget restrictions. Everyone knows what cards are good, these guys find the cheaper gems. Keep up the good work.

I'm a stern budget player and this can be a really helpful show. I can look up the episode about one of my commanders or deck themes and I'm on my way to my singles site. But their humor has never struck me the right way. I guess they're trying to keep it family friendly but the delivery is always off and it generally goes on too long. They're a wonderful addition to the community but I'm just irritated by the dad jokes is all.

These hosts are hilarious. The budget decklists and and cards are discussed in an entertaining way, and the format and pacing of the show efficiently covers a number of relevant aspects of their budget deck builds. Also, the hilarious advertisements and "interviews" are a real treat.

Their podcast is a great resource for budget options for commander decks. Also they are both comedians, which makes the podcast that much greater. I have made several of their decks and they are fun themes and are usually pretty good for using budget cards.

I recently discovered this podcast, and I have already listened to the entire series. It's great, and I love their humor. It's like sitting and talking commander with my friends.

You don't have to play budget to enjoy this podcast. I don't, but I never miss an episode. These guys find some wonderful cards that are outside the box. Also, I don't think there is another podcast that makes me laugh so much. Great entertainment. Their commercials and Commander Interviews are more than worth the time to listen to. Keep up the great work.

This podcast features two comedians, Andy and Sean, who create two decks based on a theme for each main episode. They keep a budget approach in mind and will explain why certain cards are worth cutting or spending a little extra for. They always have creative takes and truly enjoy what they do. I've discovered a bunch of cards through them. Plus they stream on twitch and participate in the Magic community!

As someone new to EDH, it's great to start looking at ideas for ways to build cheap decks that I can build upon later. The guest have a great sense of humor and have fun creative builds to achieve the same goals as more powerful decks. Love it!

This is a hilarious podcast that explains genius ways to build all the deck you would ever want! These two know cards that can easily go overlooked, but serve the same purposes as much more expensive cards. Very fun and interesting to listen to, all while being motivational to go out and build more decks!

My husband had me start listening and now I can't stop. Andy and Sean are really funny! They put out great content and brew on a budget which is nice for finding some cheap MTG cards that you may never have heard of. If you're going to listen to one Magic the Gathering podcast, you should really give this podcast a shot!

This podcast is absolutely fantastic to listen to. The only problem is that I want to build nearly every deck that they talk about! Anyways, these guys do a wonderful job bring these decks alive and it's always fun to learn about the new budget cards that they are able to share with us every week. I have built out 7 (soon to be 8) of the budget decks you have brewed. They are great fun to play, except Brago. He is defintely no fun to play. I will be playing the deck you guys brewed around my favorite common (Gary) tomorrow. I own a few $500+ decks, but the decks you guys have brewed seem a lot more fun to play. I stumbled upon this podcast when I bought my first Commander deck: the 2015 Mizzix Seize Control deck. After listening to the Mizzix/Arjun episode, I build my deck around Arjun the Shifting Flame and have been loving that deck ever since. I play in a playgroup where some of the members aren’t as budget-concerned as I am. The tips provided on this podcast have definitely helped me be more competitive against the more expensive decks I normally play against. So if you’re friends are frequently outmuscling you with $20 cards, listen to The Commander’s Brew so that next time you’ll be able to unleash a "Gum Ball Beatdown" on them and show them that you don’t have to break the bank to play Commander.

This is easily the funniest podcast, not just Commander specific, that I've ever heard. And the amount of budget research Sean and Andy do is great, I've learned a lot of new cards from their deckbuilding.

I love listening to Andy and Sean talk about commander to and from work in the morning and evening. It is a great way to start out the day. Thanks for putting the time into each episode you guys. These guys take commander and find interesting ways to build edh decks with a budget while showing new (to my meta) ideas on how to do things and stay competitive. I would recommend this show to any magic players, regardless of the format they play just for the different takes on the mechanics of magic beyond the norm.
