Comedy Is Lighthearted & Carefree
Comedy Is Lighthearted & Carefree
Mike and Julian
After more than five years of experience in the field. With few ups and many downs. Watching friends less talented climb to the middle only to be swatted back down to reality. One having quit the stage while the other pretends he's still on the journey... Our hosts Mike and Julian have come to only one conclusion, that Comedy is gay.
Episode 11 - I Hate My Roommates
The "artform" of comedy gets exposed on this one. Julian and Mike truly become the two failed funny guys they're accused of being. Haters get got!! Listen as each and every former comedian roommate from the famed Maujer House gets dismantled just like the patriarchy will be one day with God's help.  Pray. The boys also needlessly attack their more successful "friends" for doing late night sets and thinking it's cool.  In their words "Bro, quit comedy and move to Broad Channel. It's not that bad.....just give up on your silly dreams and enjoy some Springsteen by the bay"     Email us  - [email protected]

Episode 5 - Go Flog Yourself
Happy 4th of July Heroes! Some are saying this is our best episode yet. Possibly because the CIG podcast had its first guest ever - Wild funny man Justin Lanza instagram.com/lanzabeforetime. Listen in as Mike struggles with his self-esteem, Julian picks up the pieces, and Justin goes in on NYC comedy culture. We come to the realization that we all are what we hate....at least a little. Please keep sending new title suggestions to Mike's instagram: instagram.com/mikegmclaughlin

Episode 2 - We so black
Over 3 years in the making and the world finally gets what it has been asking for...a second episode of Comedy is Gay. And don't worry there are more to come.  In this episode the guys chat about their dying dreams, moving on, and hating Covid. Also, a review of episode 1 and how "urban" their accents are. **Disclaimer** Hi, Mike and Julian here. We know the title is going to be offensive to some people. We get it. We're offended too. We want to change the title but we can't think of anything better. Probably our lack of imagination. We apologize to everyone who listens. And we love you.

Comedy is Gay...the beginning
The pilot episode of C.I.G. Recorded sometime in the summer of 2017 we believe. Julian G had just released a controversial press release announcing his retirement from stand-up comedy via his heavily trafficked personal FB page. Mike, always a cynic and suffering from the common comic delusion where one believes they are better than they actually are sits down with Julian to discuss their comedy pursuits or lack there of. Instead of looking inward and reflecting on their short comings they look outward and accuse the entire comedy scene of being Gay. Hence the title of the podcast. Enjoy! **Disclaimer** Hi, Mike and Julian here. We know the title is going to be offensive to some people. We get it. We're offended too. We want to change the title but we can't think of anything better. Probably our lack of imagination. We apologize to everyone who listens. And we love you.
