I’ve always wondered why Albuquerque never developed a thriving comedy club scene but had so many talented comics shouting at bars. This podcast does a phenomenal job of illustrating the struggle for legitimacy that comics face, but uses Albuquerque to highlight that struggle.

Already hooked. As a comedian, I’ve never given too much thought to why some cities have comedy clubs and others don’t. I’ve already learned a lot, and the host is so charming!

Sarah Kennedy is a well respected comedian in ABQ, and she will get to the bottom of the issue. Albuquerque is the Hollywood of the Southwest. The entertainment industry is very strong here, yet no comedy club? Movies and TV are huge here. Blockbusters to Academy Award winners galore. Numerous comedians here would love a regular spot to work out, feature, and headline. Sarah’s tone is perfect for this project!✌️👍🎤
