Why do some of us hate exercising?
Why does going to gym not sound exciting?
In this episode Simmi, Kiki and Manju explore the importance of movement in our daily lives. They look at the work of Darryl Edwards, who is a health and movement coach. He highlights the importance of movement by incorporating animal like moves into our daily exercise routine to make working out a bit more fun. They suggest some practical methods to include small doses of movement into our day. For example, grab a skipping rope, do a few star jumps, try some office table press ups and set-up a mini circuit consisting of a few different exercises in the garden.
In the guest segment they have a fitness trainer Shelley Drury, an experienced fitness and personal trainer. She gives them fitness tips on what to include in an exercise routine.
It appears one must disrupt a sedentary lifestyle in order to achieve a healthier life.
