In this episode of Collector's Maze Podcast, Adrian and Branden2k will discuss DC as a whole. They will share the latest news, their top four most anticipated movies, and their thoughts on how DC should improve.
Henry Cavill's Instagram Post
[0:22]
In the Instagram post, Henry says he is back as Superman, hinting that he will be in the Black Adam Movie.
Top Upcoming Movie
[4:39]
Adrian is looking forward to the upcoming films Shazam! Fury of the Gods and Injustice. Branden2k, on the other hand, chose Green Lantern Corps and Blue Beetle as his top two favorite upcoming films.
[8:22]
DC has the ability to create noteworthy villains, and marvel favors throwaway villains, whereas DC has depth in their villains in their movies.
TV Series Base Characters
[15:05]
TV Series Base Characters can be introduced in a television show and easily put into the Extended Universe. For example, HBO Max is prime right now. Branden2k believes that DC has been so sluggish for so long that each of these films must succeed, or they will fall behind.
Other Top Upcoming Movies
[19:04]
Branden2k picked Justice League Dark for his third most anticipated movie, while Adrian picked Joker 2. For their final most anticipated movie, they both selected the Flash Movie.
Matt Reese
[25:57]
Matt Reese has stated that he believes the Joker 2 film can stand alone. He isn't interested in a sprawling cinematic universe. But there are ways to force Matt Reeves to do what he wants.
Movie Schedules
[41:10]
DC Lego, Super Pets, Black Adam, and Shazam will be released at the end of the year. Aquaman will be in March 2023. And then Flash in June 2023. They assume that it's going to be a 12-week run to maximize the revenue for it because there's nothing else coming.
Shock Pop
[44:05]
DC does at least one major shock pop in their film to make everybody go because they're not going to do it. And the shock pop is probably a little unpredictable.

In this episode of Collector’s Maze Podcast, our guest Melissa Medina will share the games and roles she portrayed, such as in Star Wars and Valorant. She will also discuss how she became a voice actress and share some advice for those who want to pursue voice acting. Listen to learn more about Melissa and her voice acting journey.
Melissa’s Background
[0:12] Mellisa is known and heard of in games such as Star Wars: The Old Republic, Aliens: Fireteam Elite on Steam, Battlefield 2042, Lega Friends, Grand Blue Fantasy, Dying Light, Legends of Runeterra, and a bunch more video games.
Star Wars
[1:49] So far, it is amazing, and Melissa is having fun. She got involved with it from her work on the Aliens fire team. Many of the same folks work on both projects, and one of them has been working on Star Wars since it first came out.
Voice Acting
[3:06] Melissa primarily works by herself. When she recorded header calls and lines, she didn’t hear anyone else’s. Melissa follows the loose guidelines for what they’re looking for. And then she made it her own
Role as Whitney
[4:18] Battlefield 2042 is excellent since it’s not a typical role for her. With Whitney, she gets to be the host of a conspiracy theory podcast radio show within the game so that you can tune into the radio station, and every single map has a different episode of that show, where we just kind of talk about the law of the universe and her being super duper sarcastic about how the world is going to go from here on out.
[5:13] She auditioned for Battlefield 2042, in contrast with Star Wars. She thinks that it was just pure sarcasm involved that got her through.
Role as Sarah
[5:56] Seeing many of her friends and colleagues cast made her feel great. Somebody reached out to her and said they wanted somebody who could carry a type of regal, intelligent, and strong character, and they were thinking of getting Melissa. Thus, Melissa decides to sign up.
Voice Acting in Valorant
[6:40] A lot of people didn’t realize Melissa’s voice in the game. Many of what she did there in the Valorant map were phrases like, “Please come pick up your package.” But an hour before she was set to record, they discovered she could speak Spanish, so they added that into the session. And it’s enjoyable the way they mixed it together, and it’s a lot of fun.
Being a Voice Actress
[8:54] She just accidentally fell into it. She did some of her music degrees, so she was an opera singer for a long time. While on vacation, because of her circumstances, she found audiobooks, and that was her entry into voice acting. She then started falling into the indie games she loved and hasn’t left.
Grand Blue Fantasy
[10:51] Mega Cat, a fox creature, completely departed from her natural voice from everything she had done. This character is not normal for her, but she still tries it and see what happens.
Voice Coaching
[14:02] Her voice coaching focuses more on how you use your voice and how you can do it safely since it’s a huge deal in her classical music background. She also helps new people how to navigate this market, which has changed over a couple of years since the COVID19 Pandemic.
Anime
[16:10] Melissa is interested in voice acting on anime with the move for Funimation anything. She is just sort of checking out and waiting to get the okay.
Tips For Pursuing Voice Acting
[17:09] Her best advice would be to avoid the pitfalls that everybody falls into—thinking that they need to spend a fortune on this, that they need to get designer equipment, etc. It’s mostly about your heart, your talent, and the things you love doing. They will carry through regardless of what microphone you use.

Miranda will discuss her voice over profession in this first episode of Collector's Maze Podcast. Listen in to learn about the significance, events, and enthusiasm that occurred.
Voiceovers
[0:32] She has previously done voiceovers for video games. She had no idea what Valorant was or how popular it is at the moment, and she had no connection to the character she was voicing over for.
Luckiness
[6:11] Miranda feels that voice acting is about acting, not luck. She prepared for every audition and was always striving to improve, thinking that "luck meets preparation." She encourages individuals to take acting classes and study it as a technical talent.
Acting Career in Real Life
[8:29] She was signed with a few reputable agencies. Miranda believed that signing with a voice acting firm would be a lot of work and intimidating, but she wanted to take a risk and achieve more by signing with one of the most well-known agencies in the world.
Voice Acting Agencies
[12:18] She was signed with some of the good agencies. She felt that getting signed with a voice acting company is a lot of work and overwhelming, but Miranda wanted to take a risk and achieve more by getting signed with one of the most known agencies in the world.
XCOM
[14:45] Miranda is so taken with the sight of the alien-looking character she auditioned for that she ended up auditioning to be the voice of that character.
Dream Job
[17:33] She wanted to act since it was something she had always wanted to do. But she'd be devastated if she couldn't do voiceovers anymore. Miranda found it difficult to balance her creative efforts in life, but this is her dream, and she wants to keep doing what makes her happy.
Skye of Valorant
[19:52] Miranda found it easy to like Skye since she was witty and easy to like. One thing they all had in common was her belief that she could talk with animals. They share more than just the fact that they are both Australian women.

In this episode of Collector's Maze Podcast, Adrian and Branden2k will talk about the amazing stuff from D23 and their lack thereof. They’ll discuss the different announcements of Disney studios, Pixar Animation, Marvel, and Lucas Film.
D23’s Lack Thereof
[0:29]
Branden2k had a lot of high moments there but still wants more. He was not as disappointed as he was in San Diego.
[1:11]
D23 has a lot of expectations, especially with how they came out last year. It is like Disney’s Super Bowl, but unfortunately, this year is a lack thereof.
Disney Studios
[1:57]
Disney studios announced the release of Hocus Pocus 2 on September 30. Followed by shows such as Peter Pan and Wendy, Haunted Mansion, Mufasa The Lion King, Snow White, and the show that Disney can’t mess up, Little Mermaid
The keyword that describes Disney’s announcements was nostalgia in a cash grab.
Adrian says that talking about the D23 that is not Marvel or Lucas Film-related is like beating a dead horse.
Pixar Animation
[15:21]
From the Pixar animation, we have Elemental, Win or Lose, Inside out 2, Zootopia animated series, Strange World, and the most anticipated show of Branden2k, eLio.
Pixar is so stinking huge. They can work on so many things. They’ve got five major projects.
Disney did not come out swinging. Adrian hopes Disney will try their best because he feels like Disney doesn't try that much. They announce with no information whatsoever. Branden2k would like them to announce five things, give a full-blown trailer cast, and talk about it, rather than give us 12 things and no information.
Netflix Shows
[32:00]
Branden2k suggests that Netflix needs to have its own announcement table because his kids are watching Netflix shows and not on Disney Plus.
Andor
[32:46]
Lucas Film releases the trailer for the Andor. If you haven’t seen it, go ahead and watch it.
ICT Con Event
[33:25]
This event is coming in a little bit over three weeks. Get excited because this is one of the most historical events ever. And it's happening in Wichita, Kansas. Get your tickets now.
Lucas Film
[35:46]
On the other hand, Lucas film announced Andor, Willow, Tales of Jedi, Ahsoka, Clerks 3, Star wars: Skeleton Crew, Indiana jones, and The Mandalorian 3.
Marvel Studios
[50:26]
Lastly, Marvel Studios' announcement consists of the film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Loki, Secret Invasion, Ironheart, Antman, Captain America: New World Order, Armor Wars Fantastic Four, Thunderbolts, Daredevil: Born Again, Werewolf by Night, The Marvels, and Echo.
The announcement of the Echo made Branden2k cry since sign language people have a special place in his heart.
D23’s Most Exciting Part
[1:34:50]
Adrian and Branden2k both agree that the film Thunderbolts is the one they are most excited about since they are not expecting Sebastian Stan to end up in the series.

Infinity Gauntlet [8:09] This comic was already mentioned in the first part of this podcast, and it was discussed there perfectly.
The Ultimates 2 [10:48] The Ultimates 2 feature all of your favorite heroes in one comic book. It is an excellent read for somebody to use as an introductory read. It is a beautiful comic book about a team.
Identity Crisis [12:51] Identity Crisis is a comic book whose story revolves around a crisis. Branden2k shares how he is drawn to stories that involve the time and space manipulation, such as interdimensional travel. These kinds of themes appeal to him, and Identity Crisis offers this time of storyline.
Green Lantern: Rebirth [15:13] Green Lantern: Rebirth is written by Geoff Johns, and Adrian thinks the author did an excellent job in the Green Lantern series. He mentioned that this comic was Geoff’s beginning in recruiting a change.
X-Men: Extinction and X-Men: Age of Apocalypse [20:29] These two comic novels are meant to be read together. They are inseparable because after reading either one, you are left wanting to read the other.
Judas Contract [21:59] The Judas Contract is one of the comic books that made it to the list. The tone of the story shows to be darker and more mature.
New World Order [26:03] New World Order is a saga that made it to the list. This was Gret Morrison’s first time with the Justice League, and he certainly made an impact. It is impressive to read that it will give you a lot of questions in mind.
Secret Warriors [27:40] Secret Warriors is a comic book involving young and dark Avengers. It is also one of the most expensive comic books.
Colossus Georgie [28:55] This comic book also involves crisis events, particularly extinction. It gives you the thrill and adventure of survival and the mystery of its origin.
Ice Cream Man [30:03] Ice Cream Man involves a lot of genres ranging from deaths, disparate, separation, etc. Each episode features a cast of characters going through their particular kind of sorrow. It has different characters like a weaver of stories, a foe, a God, a demon, and a guy who can change your life in just a snap of a finger.
Wolverine Weapon X [33:27] This comic book talks about the time when Wolverine was referred to as “Weapon X.” During this time, he had no idea what he was doing because his mind was being manipulated every time they took him. When he started getting flashbacks of what happened, he began to remember who he was. Xavier also helped in unlocking his mind.
American Gothic [36:18] American Gothic is number one on this list. If you are someone who likes the dark version of Justice League, you are going to enjoy this comic book.

In this inaugural episode of Collector's Maze Podcast, Adrian and Branden2k will discuss the Comicon that happened last month. Listen to learn about the relevancy, the experiences, and the excitement that occurred.
Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves
[0:45]
Even though it's been done before, they're coming in with a fresh look at it. It seems like they're going to have a lot of classes represented. Branden2K feels like the story will flow well because they will have a group playing through what would be a campaign.
Masters of the Universe 40th year
[2:07]
Branden2k believes it failed to capture the audience. It’s not being discussed, and he hasn't seen any TikTok, tweet, or anything else. It has been overshadowed and ignored. It's also unfortunate, and it's almost as though the timing was off.
30 Years of X-Men Animated Series
[3:47]
It's significant. He believes John Carlo Esposito voicing Professor X is more feasible than taking on the role on screen. He thinks this will be his debut as Professor Xavier, and he's looking forward to seeing who they cast.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power
[8:59]
There's just so much happening on this small continent forever, for centuries, eons, and they can jump in and out. It's going to be awesome. They are excited to see what they do with it. If they mess up and blow up the story and do something completely different, they’re here for it. It's one of those things where he is excited because he wants to see a specific ark.
Zombies and What If
[12:52]
They don't feel like it has a large plot arc. It's not like conventional panels, as every zombie fan knows. They might not spend their net or time on it.
The Walking Dead Telltale series
[29:50]
The Walking Dead Telltale series is better than the whole series. That was a great series of games. Walking Dead AMC, everybody loves it.
Star Trek Panel
[34:03]
One thing they didn't notice on the panel was the presence of a man named Vic Mignogna, the original Broly. He also plays Captain Kirk in the Star Trek Continues series. No one is talking about it. They're doing what they had planned, pulling the character out and saying spin-off.
Marvel Studios
[40:35]
They believe Marvel has reached a tipping point and is becoming careless. They're failing, and it comes to the point where they don't have to explain anything or put any effort into anything because they will watch it regardless.
Sandman
[44:45]
They’ve heard fantastic things about it. But it is not enough to make them run to the TV and just watch.
The overall rate of Comicon
[47:10]
From the outside looking in, they give it a six out of 10 on a scale of one to ten. They feel like they could have gotten so much more, but at least they have something.
Atlantis
[51:43]
They think that doing this right will set the film up for a big name or movie.
