Episode 1: MYTH: Tommyknockers
Tommyknockers have been in Colorado mines since the beginning of the gold rush. Tommyknockers are described as small, grizzly creatures that live underground. The deeper you go into the mine, the greater the chance you wake one. Their name comes from the sounds the little creatures make. They're believed to knock on the mine walls as a warning. Some believe they cause shaft cave-ins, others believe the knocks lead them to richness and good luck. However, legend states that if you see a Tommyknocker, death will be knocking on your door. Some believe Tommyknockers are still present in Colorado mines today. Would you dare enter the mine at your own risk?
