I got to the party well after the podcasts for Westworld and Mr. Robot aired but have found them so enjoyable while exercising in indefinite COVID-induced quarantine in the burbs. They provide insights into the plot and favorite theories for each episode, describe Easter eggs, and provide ratings...a really great mix of content that deepens my enjoyment of these shows. Should be a great way to find new shows and movies to watch also, since they share my taste...going to binge the Westworld podcasts next, Thanks so much CKC podcasters!!

They bring me joy no matter what they’re discussing. But best of all they make me laugh. (out loud for real)

The Coffee Klatch crew of 2 provides detail analysis of genre television shows. The crew provides honest analysis and criticism. Criticism is key as many podcasts do not provide objective analysis and criticism. Great podcasts for Mr Robot, The Magicians and many genre television shows.

Thanks for being a springboard to ideas about Mr. Robot! This is my first podcast I really have gotten hooked on. I just can’t get enough of this show and sadly enough no one knows the greatness, complicated, and harsh reality that is wrapped up in this show. Your wonderful canter and perspectives help add another level of dimension to this show to me. I only recently started listening to podcasts regularly. For the most part, I tend toward crime serials (like Serial) and public affairs/politics (like The Oath) and I am usually not all of that interested in dissecting books, TV, movies - even those I love. But after recently binge-watching The Magicians and wanting MORE, I figured I'd see if I could find a podcast. I chose CKC Magicians podcast based on the rating and reviews, and boy those who came before me didn't stear me wrong. I LOVED it. It's like hanging out with and listening to friends. (Full disclosure: I'm a total introvert so the idea of me hanging out silently while friends dissect a topic is not particularly farfetched.) Jason and Cristina's deep dives into the material are just so satisfying and interesting. I tried another podcast (that gets a lot of the cast/writers as guests) and couldn't get into it at all. I felt no connection with the hosts and they just didn't seem to have the in-depth knowledge and joy that Jason and Cristina have for the show. Now that I'm caught up on The Magicians, I've started listening to CKC's GoT Final Season podcasts (which I'm loving just as much).

I never write reviews but you guys are so awesome I had to give you a shout out. I didn’t agree with your critique of the ending of Game of Thrones but after listening I could respect why you felt the way you did. Keep up the good work. I’m going to start binging The Magicians because of you.

Kristina does a great job tying the books to the show which sets the stage for some disappointing character development. Jason and Christina do an excellent job of breaking down the episodes in a very methodical and thoughtful way. Not afraid to put it out there as to what they are thinking as to potential next episode events, plot lines etc. Tie back to some book references/ differences (not a lot so if you didnt read the books -which I have not- won’t spoil anything or confuse you). References to whats out there as to trending fan theories, heads up to othere resouces such as HBO.com. Love it!!!, Keep doing what your doing! :)

I started tuning in for season 7 of GOT and since then, I’ve been hooked! After every Sunday evening, I look forward to hearing your instant coffee or the longer breakdown of the episode during my commute to work. You always do a great job reviewing shows - what pushed me to write this review is your coverage of GOT S08E03 - you were able to verbalize my ambivalent feelings about the episode- very entertaining and suspenseful but also a little cheap in the plot line - in my opinion these past two seasons didn’t live up to the smarts of GOT. Thanks for your hard work!

I love that the podcasters use a structured well written format, which includes human reactions (via comments received via Twitter and polling), context from books and prior episodes, and actor/producer commentary. Don’t waste your time on the other podcasts, this is the best GOT podcast out there!

I started listening for Game of Thrones recaps and got hooked! They put so much effort into all of their podcasts and it truly shows. Funny, interesting, well planned, and very thought provoking. Well done y’all!! (And congratulations on the engagement!)

I started listening to these two after watching West World as I desperately needed help with the multiple timelines and plots. They made watching the show much more enjoyable so I started listening to their GOT coverage and I am so glad I did! Cristina talks about the book and show and explains so much that I missed in both. Jason is a perfect balance-Keep it up you two!!❤️

I really like these two. They're very detailed and you can tell they put a lot into making each episode the best itcan be. I'm listening to the Doctor Who cast, but I've also heard their commentary on The Magicians and Game of Thrones. Their chemistry is very good, and, most importantly, they really seem to respect each other, even when they're having different views. Sometimes, when you have two hosts, one is more dominant than the other, but these two share the balance quite well. Bravo!

I discovered this podcast last year looking for a Game of Thrones podcast and now I’m back for Westworld! I love how Christina and Jason are so genuine and that you can tell they really enjoy watching the shows and making the podcast. So many podcasts now seem to think their point is to criticize every little aspect of these shows and that negativity really brings me down. I love being entertained by shows like Game of Thrones and Westworld that also give a chance to think about life in a deeper way. This podcast brings thoughtful, fun, heartfelt insight and is truly a joy to listen to.

They do a great job summarizes the show, providing backgrounds, and adding their own personal flair. Plus they answer user comments, thoughtfully and quickly!

Came to this podcast by way of the Mr. Robot reviews and have stuck around for numerous shows since. I won't belabor the point stated in the subject line–your time is better-spent actually listening to the podcast than it is reading my post here. Jason & Christina do a very fine job of doing their homework on the shows they review while maintaining a true fan's enthusiasm for the material. Colloquial & academic in equal measures–highly recommended.

I just found this podcast while looking for a Sherlock S4 cast. I am so happy I decided to try it. The hosts, whom I think are an actual couple, are sincere fans of the shows they are casting about. They are funny without being crass and have great insight. After the Sherlock season ended, I decided to listen to the next show they are podcasting. Unfortunately I just can't get into The Magicians. But since I really enjoy the podcaster's insights, I am now listening to their Game of Thrones season 6 podcast. Some shows I do listen to podcasts include: Bates Motel, Humans, The Leftovers, and a few more. Even if they don't podcast any of these shows I will come back for GOT S7.

I have waited way too long to leave this review, but since my initial impressions with the CKC Westworld podcast, I have discovered the rest of their work. This channel is gold and allowed me to enjoy Westworld on a different level than friends who casually watched week after week. I can't wait to rewatch the GOT seasons with CKC in anticipation of the next season. Great work guys, keep it up.

Really thoughtful and original podcast without going off on crazy tangents like some others. I loved the Mr. Robot show and now Westward is even better. They discuss the plot/charachter dev, music notes, symbolism...anything and everything. And it's all original and relevant. Great job guys!

Really enjoying the West World Podcast they do. Nise to hear the show discussed in a civilized and well constructed manner. Some of the other podcasts I have heard on West World and TWD tend to be overly critical in my opinion and run off on tangents for the majority ogf the time. The Coffee Klatch crew is like disussing the show with interested and intelligent friends.

So far I've listened to the CKC podcast review 3 of my favorite shows: Game of Thrones, Mr. Robot, and my newest favorite show Westworld. Their in depth analysis and scene by scene reviews of the shows make them easier to digest and makes you want to dive deeper. They definitely make you think of all the different angles and are often good and predicting where a storyline is headed. They create the feel of sitting around discussing the show at length with a group of friends and makes for a very easy and enjoyable listen.

Love this crew! They go so deep into every episode in a way that not only thorough but fun. From the artistic value, entertainment value, psychological value, and genuine wonder about the future CKC has everything I could ask for. Every episode feels like sitting down with friends. Keep it up guys

Amazing podcast. They brake down each episode scene by scene, discuss ratings, characters, theories, easter eggs, clues etc. They actually dedicate a good amount of time to reading comments, theories, answering questions and interacting with listeners. Highly recommend to all Mr. Robot superfans like myself. :-)
