On May 18, 2022, CNA's Inclusive National security initiative (@InclusiveNatSec on Twitter) hosted a discussion on inclusivity in wargaming and its implications for defense planning. The event featured two guest speakers: Dr. Yuna Huh Wong (Defense Analyst, Joint Advanced Warfighting Division, Institute for Defense Analyses) and Dr. Margaret McCown (Deputy Division Chief, Studies, Analysis, and Gaming Division, Joint Staff J8). CNA's Catherine Lea (Senior Research Scientist, Gaming and Integration Program) served as moderator.

On March 14, 2022, CNA hosted a National Security Seminar (NSS) event on PRC Economic Activity in the Arctic: Implications and Opportunities for the United States and Europe. This virtual event featured CNA's Mark Rosen and Heidi Holz joined by Ambassador Michael Mann (Ambassador at Large for the Arctic, European Union) with CNA's Cornell Overfield serving as moderator.

On September 21, 2021, Annaleah Westerhaug (CNA), Dr. John Sherwood (Naval History and Heritage Command - NHHC), and Dr. Steve Wills (CNA) discussed past and emerging challenges of the refugee migration crisis in Europe, focusing on maritime strategy and operations, EU policies, current events, and humanitarian concerns. CNA's Inclusive National Security initiative welcomed guest speakers Camille Stewart and Royal Hansen of Google and was moderated by UCLA's Dr. Veronica Santos. This online event was recorded live on April 9, 2021.

This event drew on a range of CNA expertise to explore the complexities of domestic violent extremism and to propose courses of action as the new administration grapples with this growing threat. Tom Plofchan shared insights from his experience as a counterterrorism advisor to the Secretary of Homeland Security, Bill Rosenau provided historical context from his study of domestic terror groups, and Megan McBride shared her perspective as an expert in terrorism, radicalization, and ideological violence. CNA hosted a webinar featuring how law enforcement agencies have innovated and adapted during COVID-19. Speakers also explore what changes may remain as the pandemic subsides. Jessica Dockstader, Tammy Felix, Tom Woodmansee, and guest Steve Rickman This presentation was recorded on May 11, 2021.

CNA's Inclusive National Security initiative welcomed guest speaker Professor Meera Sabaratnam, Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in International Relations at SOAS University of London. The event was moderated by Dr. Aslı Bâli, Professor of Law at the UCLA School of Law and Faculty Director of the Promise Institute for Human Rights.
