This lady is way too negative I understand not liking a character but when it gets to a point where they aren’t even doing anything wrong it’s excessive. Also the rant about the blonde hair was way too dramatic. It’s America’s hair not yours grow up.

If you’re looking for a podcast that is similar to The Office’s, “Office Ladies”, this is not it. I couldn’t even make it halfway through the first episode. My first clue was when the host did not remember Jonah’s name and had to be corrected…Plus, she scoffs at the other host who watched the show three times. If you’re doing a podcast and it’s a rewatch podcast, I’m expecting you to have watched the episodes multiple times. I’m also not a fan of the profanity. If the show doesn’t use it, your podcast shouldn’t either. I finally shut it off when she said “white baiting “, that the show had to have someone white to draw white people in and then it would transition to more brown…. America Ferrera is literally the star of the show, it’s not a hidden thing, or a surprise. Podcast was a great idea for a show, it just was not executed with the correct hosts.

This is the worst. Liberal driven political rewatch. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. It takes away from the humor of the show, and they destroy the rewatch.

Before I write my review, I’m a woman of color and identify with liberal values. That being said, one of the hosts of this podcast is so hypercritical of the show - claiming inane things are racist so frequently that the concept has lost meaning. If we say literally everything is racist, that minimizes issues that actually ARE. For example, the host spent an absurd amount of time talking about America Ferrara’s choice to cut and dye her hair. According to this host, getting blond highlights is “whitewashing” her Latina heritage. So, by that logic, if any Latinx person chose to dye their hair a lighter color, they are “whitewashing” their culture away? The way she goes about calling everything out is very off putting. I understand there are critical issues that are systemic and need to change in our society, there are more productive and effective ways at bringing people in if she’s even trying to even do that. I cannot believe she’s a fan, given the sheer amount of stuff she says she can’t stand. The other host seems mostly worried about disagreeing with her since she is quite hostile, so he’s relatively quiet or in 100% agreement with what she says (which are mostly negative comments/exaggerated observations). Don’t listen to this podcast if you’re a fan of the show Superstore.

I was all excited to find this podcast after binge watching the series. Everything the lady host is racist this and racist that. Just very disappointed….

I recently started watching Superstore and have enjoyed listening along with Jason and Bebe. Nice editing work, good conversations. It’s interesting to watch the pandemic episodes in 2022. I think I wasn’t ready until now. Thanks for your work!

I am a huge superstore super fan, and i wanted to come here to kind of rehash old memories from the show, but all i got was two boring people just opinionated about the show and not really reading between the lines. A super biased show and a super disappointment as a podcast. Also it really is kind of boring to listen to, they seem like they want to get through it more than talk about what actually is happening, and they’d rather project their feelings on to the characters instead of letting the characters speak for themselves. thank you for the let down, i highly recommend if you’re a super fan like me you find another podcast rather than listen to this one

i’m not one to leave bad reviews but here this is... soo they have horrible language. f and s are in all the episodes. and secondly the lady thinks everything is racist. she’s the racist one. not everyone in power has to be a female minority 🤦🏼‍♂️ and lastly she talks about her political beliefs sooo much. she is a big democrat! 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

This started out as lighthearted and funny. What happened to you? You are so jaded. And what did Amy do to you? If you don’t like the show; then stop—as I did following the completion of this review. Too much negativity toward the show you created your podcast to showcase. As your just hate watching the show at this point?

Their dynamic is hilarious & cute, and you can tell that they care about the show. They frequently tie real world issues into their discussion of the show, especially Bebe - insightful and informative!

You guys obviously care a lot about the show. Much more than other Superstore podcasts I’ve listened to.

A friend recommended Superstore to me and I immediately fell in love with the show and the characters. I agree with the podcasters that the first season is a bit rough but it really hits it stride and delivers laughs consistently starting in season 2. Podcasters are interesting and have thought provoking commentary on the show ... which deals with lots of interesting topics in a way that most sitcoms do not. The episodes aren’t too long and they play a few short sound bites from the show.
