Too many men ignore their depression, phobias and other mental issues. Many men are becoming better at taking care of their physical health as they get older. When it comes to their mental health for some it is still unimaginable for anyone to to know they are battling depression, anxiety, or being bogged down with any emotion. Most men simply downplay their feelings because they feel like they need to be “strong” or it’s not the manly thing to do. Some are just simply embarrassed by it.
Our male guest shares his experience with dealing with depression and how he has been able to stabilize his mental health. I am so grateful that he agreed to share his story on this platform. We need to talk about this! Men need to know that they should never be embarrassed when dealing with any health related situations including mental health. Although we can’t always see it these feelings are very real!!

Host Mil Ivory has a conversation with Promoter of body positivity Markeyah also know as and can be found on Instagram as Kurvy_Kayy.
MIL and Kay discuss how positivity promotes that all people deserve to have a positive body image. Regardless of what stigmas society put on you to believe. Your size, shape, color, gender and appearance should strictly be asked on you being happy with who you are. What you think is beautiful in your eyes NOT what society or popular culture view as ideal. Total self love and acceptance plays a major role in you achieving that!! what their views are on body positivity, and how your perception of your body’s image can effect you and the people around you. It is ultimately up to you to possess the confidence and acceptance of who you are to be able to have these positive experiences with your self but if you are struggling we want you to know that it happens to the best of us and it is not permanent. You can change it with the will, support and self love!!

The host of Society Talks podcast Red Goddess wanted to give her listeners a little reality check & of course Mil Ivory in true CDC fashion wanted to talk about it and extend upon the conversation. Hints.....Reality Check 2.0
Most people look at a reality check as a bad thing, when it is actually the complete opposite. “Checking in with yourself “ assessing your needs and setting your goals based on YOUR PERSONAL SITUATION is very important to your growth an success. It is so important that it can often make or break a person.....literally. Being honest with yourself when your assessing your needs, wants, desires, goals and not comparing yourself to others helps us to pour into ourselves to encourage self growth. It is beneficial and essential because it can improve your energy, your productivity, your mood and your relationship with others. So check in with you!! Pay attention to you. Work on improving your own behavior based on your needs so that you can live a more happier healthier life physically, emotionally, and financially! #letstalkaboutit
