The hip-hop deep dives Iβve been waiting for. KRIT, Nas, Cordae projects are thoroughly covered here unlike other pods!

Great analysis
I don't know much about hip hop but this podcast makes me smarter. Appreciate Doc and Armand's thoughtful takes.

Excellent
I have been listening for over 3 years now and this podcast never disappoints. The two hosts do a great job of analyzing modern and classic hip hop music. During times when there are lulls in the hip hop world they will do retrospectives on classic rappers or classic albums. I do wish they were a bit more consistent, the podcasts aren't quite weekly, on average they probably release 3 a month (although each pod is typically close to 2 hours long). However, neither of them make a living from this podcast so I understand that it's hard to make time when life gets in the way. It's a great podcast, I haven't disliked a single episode.

Really good podcast
The two hosts are really insightful, knowledgeable and really care about hip hop. Finding such a balance is rare. I love the podcast. My only critique is that there appears to be no regular schedule. There should be a weekly podcast.

Whoa whoa whoa
I considered myself a hip-hop head...then I stumbled across this(by the way of forth). I love learning and hearing these guys gush over an art style that is so life giving(and sometimes not) in a way that is refreshing

My favorite hip-hop podcast
I've been listening for 6(!) years - the show has gotten progressively better over time. It's a one stop shop for discussions on current (usually hip-hop) events, track-by-track reviews on new releases, and cool definitive 15 and retrospective features. Highly recommended!

CRS love
. I remember just twitter searching is j coles first album better than Friday night lights? And bam a link for the episode where they reviewed j cole and phonte came up. Every since 2012 I've been down. Never missed an episode. These guys break down music like nobody can. The layers and depth they go in when talking about an album makes hip hop even better. These celebrity podcasts are cool but there really isn't a comparison in podcasts when it comes to breaking down hip hop. Not to mention the two of them
Make great music themselves and are genuinely great people. I've got the clock radio speakers t-shirt and I will always be down with them. From the number of times doc nitpicks beats or Armond breaks down content or vice versa, I learn something new everytime. For there knowledge and love for the culture alone they should be more recognized. Clockradiospeakers is the best podcast out period. Get out my face if you think otherwise

Refreshing takes
Always a fresh take. I listen to CRS because I know it's not going to be the same so-called "hot takes" you hear everywhere else. Armond and Doc each bring a unique perspective to the table. My only feedback: I would love to hear Armond nerd-out on the lyrical aspect (delivery, flow) more when doing reviews, the same way Doc does with the production.

Absolutely One of The best
One of the best podcasts on hip-hop culture. Unbiased and hilarious, yet knowledgable and insightful.
Definitely check out the Roc-A-Fella, Death Row, and Bad Boy retrospective episodes.

"Cool" but mostly dope
I've been listening to this show for awhile. There really aren't a lot of great purely hip hop podcasts out there, but y'all have always had one of the best in my opinion regardless of the field. The way u guys break down your discussions and pay attention to detail has always been one of the most appealing things to me. Because in an era where everyone has an opinion but doesn't really know why they have that opinion CRS is a commodity. The only critique I have is the album reviews are so predictable at this point. Like I get it y'all don't really like a lot of the new stuff but it's almost draining to hear "I'm cool" after like every project regardless of the artist. Despite that small criticism it's an amazing pod keep it up

CRS!
CRS is the first podcast I've listened to back in 2014 and because of them I've fell in love with the format. Really helped me get through some 14-16 hour shifts at work.

Great Listen
It's great to hear honest thoughts on modern and older hip hop from these guys. With Armond having skills in rapping and Doc having skills in production it's very cool to get their honest input on hip hop songs from all times. They don't go with popular opinion but they have reasons why and it's very enlightening. On top of all of that they get to talking about all kinds of stuff and it's very genuine. When they laugh, I laugh. It's just that real. Can't wait for these definitive 15's.

Dope podcast
A great podcast for rap nerds. A producer and a rapper review gives different perspectives. Things you need to know sequencing is everything, this album needs to be trimmed a little bit, jermajesty Cole, Jay-Zs best 2nd album is American Gangster

Great work
CRS is my favorite music podcasts and one of my favorites period. I like too think I view music in the same vein as Armond and Doc so it's good too hear different opinions. Even if I don't agree with them all the time, I appreciate that there is a reasoning behind it. As an independent artist I really like hearing about their thoughts on the industry and also the process behind things when they interview other independent artists. That is pure gold. Keep pushing guys.

Great Podcast (and it only gets better)
I literally stalk the twitter feed for when they post the new episodes. I'm not big on itunes at all, but i had to log in just to show them some love. This is one of my favorite podcasts.
I tried to review and rate it again just to support to help them get to their current goal of 75 reviews but iTunes only let me edit my existing review so I'm adding to it by saying:
Thoughtful. Truthful. Provoking. Insightful. Hilarious. Just. Good.
Therefore, listen, subscribe, rate, and repeat.
That is all.

The Best
I love this show! I'm a huge hip hop fan but definitely not a nerd head. This show is the perfect zoom in to details within the culture, history and intricacies. Armond and Doc play incredibly well off each other, and the rapper and producer contrast works very well! If you don't subscribe you buggin.

Your favorite podcasts favorite podcast!
I listen to a lot of podcasts and this without a doubt is my favorite, Clock Radio Speakers are the ones who actually got me into listening to podcasts and they were the first show I ever subscribed to on my podcast app. The first episode I listened to was their review on 2014 Forest Hills Drive and loved it immediately! Love the chemistry between Armond and Doc, thanks guys for continuing to make shows throughout the years.

2017 updated review
Everyone who has given this show a listen knows it's great. When Armond is on his game he is the best part of the podcast with great analysis and humor. He has gotten a little lazy with his reviews lately though. Doc is also great, lots of gems and trivia bits from him, his love for the show is the reason it has remained the best hip hop podcast in iTunes. Both of you are American treasures
When you hit 75 reviews...please explain the intense "dynasty intro" love? It is classic but man it has aged you can't deny it

Doc was wrong about So Appaled being Jay's Last great verse
Had to make an Itunes account just so I could write this review, It's impossible for me to listen to a podcast that sounds processed/as though the hosts are on some radio show which exagerrated voices making jokes/tellign stories in some zany way or whatever, just because it's something they do for a living, so when I listen to any podcast or watch any channel my main requirement is that the interactions between the hosts sounds natural and like they have an actual relationship, and that they sound like they know what they're talking about.
This podcast has all of that in spades, Armond and Doc have some of the best chemistry any two people on this planet have ever held, and their knowledge runs so deep that for a new Hip Hop fan like me, this podcast is kind of like a class run by two off topic but incredible/funny teachers.
They have been running this podcast for a long time and deserve all of the sucesss possible, and I can't wait to continue listening to them as they continue to grow.

D.O.A - Jay z and Hip hop is dead - Nas.

CRS Podcast
Big fan of the show, Armond & Doc put hours in every week to deliver my favorite podcast weekly. The best place to get good hip hop content with some healthy slander and jokes sprinkled in, i'm here for it all.

The Real Definition Of A HipHop Podcast
I caught wind of armond's music back in 2010, I want to say. Found out he did a show, didn't really know what a podcast was. But I listened to their WU-TANG Retro and Was Amazed, at the knowledge That DOC had, and Armond's memory of every store, or moment him and his pops would allow a hip hop purchase or listen LOL !!
if you're a HipHop head this is definitely worth hours and hours of listening

CRS podcast
One of the best podcasts out. Listening to Armond and Doc's "back and fourth" is like listening to me and my friends talking about Hip Hop. Which makes it a great and easy to listen to. Especially how they go on a one word digression that makes you reminisce about that topic all day. GREAT WORK!!!

The Best Hip-Hop Podcast There Is
For in depth discussion on Hip-Hop alongside some laughs, this is the podcast for you. Armond and Doc's ventures through the good, bad, and ugly of Hip-Hop are never stale, but remain entertaining while always managing to give you a glimpse of Hip-Hop history, informing many listeners of something previously unknown to them. If I could give this podcast 6 stars, I most definitely would.

For music nerds, music fans, and people who enjoy a good podcast
I can't give high enough praise to Clock Radio Speakers. My favorite podcast by far since I started listening in 2016. Easily one of the best shows for putting me on to new music that I'd not been aware of, as well as classics I should know or revisit. Also one of the funniest podcasts I listen to.

Great podcast
Been listening from jump and this is an informative and entertaining hip-hop podcast. Love the retros and lately, the Definitive 15s. Armond and Doc play off each other well and as I get older and have less time, I count on their insight to keep up to date on the hip-hopery.

My favorite hip-hop podcast
I've been listening to CRS for almost a year and it's easily my favorite hip hop podcast. I enjoy all the interview pods (Combat, Juan Ep, Drink Champs, etc), but as an 80s baby and hip hop nerd, CRS is like listening to conversations I have with friends. They really do a great job breaking down new projects and have great discussions about the industry in general.
I love the retrospectives they've done and the new Definitive 15's as well. Keep up the great work fellas!
