Dumb Humor
The Quincentennial Show was the 💣🎇
I have loved and respected all 3 of you from your earlier days of being guests on MSNBC. You three are part of the reason I only watch MSNOW for my news and yinz turned me onto listening to Podcast to educate myself more.
The show today, for me, was very uplifting because you all reminded me of the journey this country has been on. I learned so much today from listening to examples and historical facts.
I was present and so excited and happy during the 200th anniversary. For the past year an a half, I feel nothing for our 250th but dread and anxiety of what will happen next.
Then Simone was reminded us of a text conversation she was having with with a major player in the Civil Rights movement. He reminded her, that things were so much harder for them. That We The People are capable to change everything. So that gave me some hope.
Your show today was factual about the good, the bad, and the ugly in our country. I loved hearing the story that Melissa told about the college student who got a C, made some calls, educated himself, and got the 27 Amendment put through after 202 years. It lightened my heart but also show us how we can get out of any situation.
I love hearing and seeing this podcast grow. Keep talking about the hard and ugly truths, but sprinkle in the people who are doing the good fight.
Thank you all so much for keeping me informed. I now am educating myself on our country’s history. Which causes me a lot of tears but I now also see the strength.

Exceptional!
Absolutely hilarious, thoughtful and interesting. It’s a must listen.

Good point
Symone made a point, which Eugene validated as learned empathy, that blacks living among whites, especially in the Midwest, can understand a white person’s point of view. I’ve always believed one benefits from being a minority among the majority. Yes, to survive and learn empathy but in addition learn humility. I have learned all of these lessons but it still takes a lifetime to stay aware of bias and courage to practice.

Personality + Professionalism
My wife and I look forward to Thursdays so that we can “Clock It,” with the wonderful Symone Sanders and Eugene Daniels. Hey, we love you both! You have a sincerity and forthright style that makes any message, however difficult, completely palatable and interesting. I also appreciate, as an educator, your values. I was head of an elementary school in New York and children literature is my specialty. We made sure that our children got to experience the lives of people from all parts of the world and in all sorts of diverse cultures. Empathy was the goal. You two exude that quality

Mic 🎤 Drop👋🏽 & BRAVO 👏🏽
I’m a native, CraCra, intellectual New Yorker who truly enjoy and love Symone & Eugene’s dynamic, vibrant refreshing energetic show; whose personalities definitely complements each other. #CONGRATS on your podcast success. They are a great odd couple, that respects each other’s greatness and smart minds. Symone’s intoxicating, all consuming and passionate nature, is raw & has found a home on CLOCK IT. I just love it; as I my Scorpion ♏️ being totally relates to her. A.C.C.O.U.N.T.A.B.I.L.I.T.Y. And Eugene, charismatic and charming, humbly shows up and sets the stage with vigorous proof & actions. They both are receptive of learning from each other, as it does show; and their voices are heard loud and clear on any given day; along with Ah Ha Moments. A must watch, grow, listen and learn from two great media giants. THAT WILL NEVER BE SILENCED OR MOVED‼️ Here are your much needed flowers 💐🌺🌻🌸🌼🪻🪷🌹

Clock it!
I look forward to this podcast every single week. It is the reason I subscribed to MS NOW. The way Eugene and Symone engage with each other and their Guests is a masterclass in podcasting. I feel as though I am sitting right there with them (maybe one day!) Thank you for a fun and engaging podcast on politics and culture! Clock that!

Far Left Drivel
About what you’d expect out of these people. The same takes you always hear from the bigoted left wing talking heads.

Insightful Takes, More Perspectives
I usually hate it when podcasts I subscribe to put new shows in my feed that I didn’t specifically search for. That’s how this show ended up in my queue. And, as a nice white lady, I wasn’t sure that this podcast was meant for me, or that I’d enjoy it. I WAS SO WRONG. I look forward to each episode and recommend it to all my white friends. Not only because their takes on current events are good and insightful—full stop. But because I also get to learn from their lived experiences and get a perspective I may not have otherwise. Thank you both for this!

You handled that really well🤣🤣🤣
Never Knew
Come on in!
Symone and Eugene invite me, an elderly white-bread native of Iowa, to come on in, take a seat and listen to voices I never heard growing up. Their warmth, humor and thoughtfulness communicate respect for their audience as fellow human beings, as intrinsically moral and sympathetic to the effort required just to survive in this society and the world.

Fabulous and funny!
You two are so adorably beautiful and cool together.
While the news is disturbing these days, you always make me smile and laugh at myself when there’s little in news to smile about.
Love you, keep it up!

Love it!
Thank you for this excellent podcast. Symone and Eugene are engaging, genuine and smart. Their perspectives are so important at this time when we are seeing the rollback of civil rights.

I listen every week!
I absolutely love *Clock It* and look forward to it every week. In a media landscape that often feels performative or shallow, the insight, authenticity, and honesty from the Symone and Eugene feels genuinely refreshing. They manage to be informed, sharp, hilarious, and deeply real all at once.
As someone who is a total political junkie, I can honestly say there’s nowhere else I get this mix of perspective, chemistry, and friendship between hosts. I laugh constantly, occasionally yell back at my speakers, and always walk away thinking differently about something. You can feel that the hosts genuinely care about each other and what they’re talking about, and that energy makes the show stand out from so much other political media.
Highly recommend for anyone who wants political commentary that is smart, grounded, funny, and human.

Always on point
Five stars, babes — because y’all earned it. 👏🏼
Your podcast is consistently high‑energy, sharply topical, and somehow still manages to give me hope in the second president cheetoh era. That’s a public service in itself!!!
As a big fan, an avid listener, and someone who watches every drop you put out — slay, honeys. Keep doing what you do, because the culture needs it.
BTW I loved the shades of blue y’all represented on Wednesday’s The Weeknight — the whole episode was giving art direction meets attitude, and honestly, y’all slayed for days!!

Refreshing honesty. A new lens
I just listened to my first full episode and my takeaway from the hard factual/mild outrage approach was “OMG Have I been living in a bubble? “
I purchased 2 books and am reconsidering things viewed through a different lens. Thank you for the mental challenge and inspiration to broaden my perspective.

What Time is It? ⏰👀
Time to be - Informed.
Time to be - Entertained.
Time to be - Active.
Time to be - Involved.
Time to G👏A👏F👏 about who is doing what with your tax dollars, your rights, your community, your country and the trust/power/responsibility you gave them when you voted (hired) them to represent you.
IF — you voted at all. 👀
It’s time to recognize the part you play in holding the government responsible in its duty to represent tax payers — equally. Corruption only thrives in the dark when you aren’t watching, so it’s your job to stay informed, recognize abuses of power and encourage your community to CLOCK IT and vote them out!

I love these people
Alright, this is the best podcast that ever hit the airwaves. I love Symone and Eugene, and I look forward to listening to them any chance I get. Sometimes I listen twice. They make it a little bit easier to digest the world news because they are as hilarious as they are serious, insightful, patriotic, and wise as hell. It feels like you’re sitting in a coffee shop with your two friends listening to them wax poetic with extreme knowledge and experience. It makes me sad when the show is over and I remember that I’m actually not friends with them in real life. I love you, Eugene and Symone! Keep bringing it!

Clock it makes current events bearable
I’ve been a long time fan of Symone Sanders Townsend since she became visible in Bernie Sanders’ (likely, no relation)campaign.
As a 65 year old retired white man;
An outsider might think this wasn’t my type.
But I sayou all need this show! With how oppressive current events can be today, too many people try to avoid such topics. But this show examines what matters in current events but somehow deals seriously while showing us a way to maintain joy and hope.
Listening to Simone and Eugene makes you wish to God you could sit and talk with them and makes you so thankful this show exists!
You are both brilliant and a joy

Response to Cleo
Cleo’s idea for using “anger in a positive way” to what Trump is saying or doing pretty much summarizes exactly what James Talarico is doing!

I need to say

Such a refreshing podcast!
I just wanted to take a moment to thank you both for Clock It. Listening to you two feels like stepping into a space that is both grounded and real.
What stands out most is the authenticity you bring to every conversation. In a time when so much of the discourse around what’s happening in our country can feel overwhelming or performative, your approach is refreshingly different. You educate, you challenge, and you inform…but you also make room for humor, perspective, and humanity.
That balance matters. The way you break things down while still encouraging listeners to find their own center—to stay informed without losing themselves in the noise—is incredibly valuable. It doesn’t just feel like a podcast; it feels like a place where people can come to understand, reflect, and reset.
There’s a sense of familiarity and comfort in what you’ve created—honestly, it feels like home.
Thank you for bringing your voices, your insight, and your energy to this space. It’s making a difference. I adore you both!
