Climbing is the impetus to clip the chains and find your own financial freedom, so you can climb more!

Yes, it's about climbing and finance, but it's so so so much more! Chad does get into the nitty-gritty of personal finance, but what I’ve really to come to appreciate about his shows and interviews is the focus he puts on living the good life. He’s truly insightful in this arena, and some of the things he’s said have made me truly question my own motivations and tactics. Yes, he’s got an excellent handle on the raw, hard tactics of financial independence, but he’s every bit as much a poet and philosopher.

My wife and I aren’t really on the FIRE train, but we have been absolutely BINGING this podcast for Chad’s take on all financial topics. He makes really complex topics easy to understand. Wether you are looking to get into FIRE or take a Sabbatical to go climbing or just want to have a better understanding of general retirement planning, this podcast is amazing. Plus you get the perspective from a genuine rock climber/outdoorsman. As someone who almost exclusively listens to climbing podcast, having a rock climber (as opposed to generic accountant X) talk to me about stocks and bonds makes a difference!

I am a climber and personal finance nerd. Trying to learn to make my money work for me so that some day I can well, climb even more while working less! Chad and his guest seem to share similar values striving to work at living a meaningful life and preparing for the future. Appreciate the content Chad.

Great podcast for climbers who want to plan out their future. I’ve been following Clipping Chains since pre podcast, and it has helped me find information to make financial choices, and it is also entertaining.

I didn’t realize I wanted this until I started listening to it! I mean, talk about niche. It’s awesome learning about personal finance from someone who understands my priorities as a climber.

As a new investor episode 33 on market drops was simply enlightening. This is a must listen to podcast for people interested in financial independence and also has a great outdoor lifestyle twist to it that really spices up a “finances” podcast.

Helpful no matter what your level of initial education on investing may be. Guides you from the very beginning. Witty and easy to listen to as well which is always appreciated.

As a finance professional and avid outdoor adventurer who also lives in southern Utah, this has been such a great resource 1: to learn about other people’s approaches to financial independence and 2: to feel less alone as someone who cares deeply about financial security, but is also constantly surrounded by ‘dirtbags’ who don’t necessarily have a similar mindset. There are so many reasons I love this podcast, I could go on and on and on. Grateful to have stumbled upon this one!
