I really like this podcast but the episode order is backwards. You have to scroll all the way down the list of podcasts to see the newest one. Fix that and I’m sure it will be more popular

Not a climber but love the stories! Jon Krakauer interview was so present and revealing. I’ll keep tuning in. Great stories cross and affect generations. Hard to believe it’s been 30 years since Into Thin Air was first published.

I learned a lot from the Jon Krakauer interview. As a veteran and mountain athlete, his stories of climbing and embedding with Spec Ops in Afghanistan particularly resonated with. Powerful interview by Alex and background by Fitz.

The content/guests are always current, relevant and fascinating

I tune in to every podcast and always leave feeling inspired and motivated by the discussion and stories of passionate people with the drive and determination to achieve their goals, not for fame or fortune but simply for the love of the quest. Alex and Fritz do a great job bringing those stories out for us to enjoy.

For years I subscribed to Outside Magazine because they had the best climbing stories. I don’t climb I just love reading about it. So know I can listen to new stories. Always been a fan of Alex Honnold starting with the Sufferfests.

I really love this podcast. I don’t even climb anymore but I still follow climbing and I never miss an episode. Fantastic storytelling.

This podcast continues to surprise me with so many great episodes… varied content, loads of climbing history, exclusive interviews and stories, and a good mix of humor and tears. All the raw emotion and candor that comes with a good, hard send…Alex and Fitz and Team have put together an amazing gem of a podcast here. Highly recommend!

I am not a climber but I love this podcast! The conversations are so good - Alex draws interesting stories out of his guests and his ability to be painfully blunt about his and others’ weaknesses as well as their strengths makes the discussion honest and worthwhile. I also appreciate that the focus isn’t primarily on one discipline of the sport; the variety and respect given to each keeps me listening.

Have loved this podcast for years. The episode with Chris Sharma was a beautiful meditation on doing what you love all of your life. Thanks!

Great show. They always ask very insightful questions and I love that the subject matter focuses on climbing but broaches lots of other subjects as well.

Basically, this episode is about Chris Sharma being so far ahead of his time that when he was at prime competition age, comps just weren’t at the level that they needed to be and they have only now (20 years later) finally caught up. Love this show. It brings so much depth and perspective beyond just ticks, grades and headlines. Can’t be an easy show to put together.

The podcast is good but my problems are that it isn’t really a podcast it is more like a interview, every episode is about a climber there are some episodes were it seems like a podcast. For example when Alex and his friends were talking about climbing 5.14c that was a fun episode.

3 year climber, longtime listener, and big fan. I started reading Into Thin Air the other day, and realized that Krakauer was a pretty impressive climber as well as a talented storyteller. I don’t even have an idea what you might talk about, just that it would probably be good. Even if you don’t, thanks for the show!

Not a climber but love the stories and heartfelt experiences- just wish that some of the climbing terminology could be explained as the stories are unfolding i.e. pitch numbers, sending it, projecting etc

I look forward to listening to this show every time I commute. Haven’t listened to an episode yet that wasn’t entertaining and informative. Thank you for taking away the monotony of some of the duller moments in life and resparking my interest in climbing.

I am not a climber. I am aware Alex Honold was famous, but other than that not especially interested in climbing. But this podcast features great storytelling. It’s thoughtful, and often funny. It reminds me of This American Life or something. It’s just enjoyable to be wrapped up in these episodes for a bit. I’m often sad they are over.

I was expecting great climbing knowledge and insight, but I’ve been very impressed by the storytelling, the editing and the insightful questions and conversations. Even journalistic or editorial would be a good way to describe it. I can’t get enough. Can we get another season soon, please? What sponsor do I need to talk to in order to make this happen.

Dope Lake what a great story. Good description of the times and people’s mind set in the late ‘70’s. I learned of the story many years ago when my husband told me about it as he was flying a helicopter for the NPS and was involved with the clean up and salvage operations Very well done, thanx

I thoroughly enjoy Honnold’s infectious and inclusive enthusiasm for climbing. My favorite episodes are about the history of climbing, like the battle over sport climbing in the US or the unique ethos of British trad. It has great production/editing, too. I think any climber (or any curious person) would enjoy the show.
