Very Entertaining and Informative
Bret is a terrific interviewer and conversationalist. He is funny, engaging, insightful, and establishes an amazing rapport with his guests. His blend of humor, insight, and spontaneity make for an incredibly lively, entertaining and informative show. I loved his interview with Hannah Murphy!

Good guests, ok interviews
Sometimes it's refreshing to hear a down to earth discussion of the day to day realities of the working classical guitarist. The host strips away the pretension and academic veneer of the craft. I appreciate that. I also appreciate the hard work he puts in to release the episodes so consistently over a long period of time. And the guest list includes many top name guitarists and some new discoveries that I was happy to learn about. However, it would be great if the guests could actually finish a sentence once in a while. After a few episodes we don't need to hear about the host's life anymore and want to learn something.

Insightful & Irreverent
You gotta love this podcast. Brett is the working person’s classical guitarist. Being a performer, composer and a teacher of all levels, he has his fingers on the pulse of the classical guitar world. Brett interviews provide deep insight of the biggest names in the business. His Michael Chapdelaine/ Segovia interview is pure gold and a reason why any guitarist should subscribe to this podcast. Along with the plethora of professionals as his interviewees, Brett’s personal musings of life in general are highly entertaining. What can I say, he is a true New Yorker with a microphone in front of him. If you listen, you will not be disappointed.

An acquired taste
Bret Williams is bitter. He lives in a small apartment, makes little money, is under appreciated, and has gout. But he's also a fantastic player with amazing insight into the field, and a lot of famous friends who just happen to be passing through the greatest city in the world. These are open and honest conversations about the industry, guitar technique, musical history, and anything else that passes through Bret's wild mind. If you can sit through the 15 minutes of kvetching prior to the interview--and I recommend that you do--you will be rewarded with a humorous, intellectual discussion about classical guitar.

Jesus, please be quiet!
Listening to the Marcin Dylla interview frustrated the whole time by how often Bret cuts him off and chimes in. I think he just must to love hear himself talk! Terrible interviewer!

A little ADD for my taste
I listened initially because I missed All Strings Considered, and at the time there was nothing else out there for the CG community. I was a little turned off by the poor interview technique, self centeredness of the host, and tiresome complaints and negativity, perhaps deserved, of the profession. His interminable intros are a bit schizo and not funny. The good news is, he has great guests. An extra star for that. I wish I could here more from them and less from the host and his girlfriends and job searches.

Interesting conversations
I love hearing stories about how people get where they are. It brings a personal flavor to these guitar characters whose voices are rarely heard. Keep em coming! I'm intermediate and hope to make a "secondary" career out of CG.

Great conversation!
Bret brings in classical guitar greats and brings them to a personal level for the listener to relate to. I'm no where near concert level, but this brings hope.

Inside the Classical Guitar
This podcast is great! Bret and I share a lot of the same views towards the classical guitar competition circuit and the state of guitar society concerts. I like to take late night walks through my city and listen to the interviews and often find myself laughing out loud to some of the off the cuff remarks. After listening to several interviews I sent Bret an email letting him know how much I enjoyed the podcast. I told him I'm a recent convert from the world of jazz and he was very welcoming and supportive of my new endeavor. I work for a classical guitar society so many of the people and things discussed I understand first hand. The classical guitar world is surprisingly small comparatively speaking and the few things like this podcast that exist help bring us all a little closer together. Thank you Bret keep telling it like it is.

Must hear for musicians
The guests are top class! The host is a real person (in other words a really honest and somewhat screwy guy). If you don't have a heart or just want to hear the interviews, skip the intro stuff. I love that this guy is not afraid to call it like he sees it.
