In this week’s episode, Charlie and Shelby close the book on Aum Shinrikyo, the cult responsible for the 1995 sarin gas attack in Tokyo. After receiving information of an impending police raid, Aum Shinrikyo sent 5 of its members out into Tokyo with the mission of causing a diversion so that attention would be drawn away from the cult. The diversion would end up causing several deaths, and up to thousands of injuries. Many members of Aum Shinrikyo were apprehended after the attack took place, with Shoko Asahara being executed in 2018.Opening music licensed from Peder B.
