It's mental health awareness month .. I personally believe the "awareness" should be talked about every single day.
We got a little vulnerable on this podcast...
When it comes to mental health, the church is mostly silent. Totally not dissing the church as a whole or anything, don't hear what I'm not saying..but it's just a silent topic. Or so it has been in my experience as well as many others.
Do you think the reason is they (the church) just doesn't know how to talk about it etc?
All I know is within the past few years, too many people that I knew personally are no longer here because depression or some other form of mental health issues took them out. It's heartbreaking. It can't keep happening.
What are your thoughts?

I had the honor of sitting down with Sharif, to hear a little snippet of his life and journey so far. He talks about how he traveled from his home country of Kabul, Afghanistan to Europe to escape pain and devastation to live a better life. He talks about what it was like for him living in a refugee camp and how he survived it.
He is now living and thriving, married to the love of his life, currently residing in Europe.
