I’ve know Ken and his family for a long time, and although I am not a member of the church and do not believe the same things as they do, they have always welcomed me into their lives with open arms and open minds. It is always a pleasure to have deep conversation about beliefs with them.

I've been listening to Ken and his guest stars and it has help me alter my life in wonderful ways. I appreciate the way it makes me stop and consider my life, or my perspective of gospel living and truly ponder truth. And Ken seems like an ok guy.

I heard Ken talk at a mid-singles fireside 3-4 years ago. A few months later I mentioned something about him to someone in my ward and turns out he worked for him and gave me a copy of the book that he happened to have on him. Fast forward to several months ago and I heard Ken on another LDS podcast and that he had a podcast in the works. Maybe a few months went by and I happened to mention Ken for unrelated reasons to someone else and had that "oh yeah" moment remembering the podcast. I've listened to every episode over the past 2 days and it's definitely some good content!

Ken has a very engaging way of explaining simple but profound gospel principles. In each podcast I come away with something I want to share with my children or friends. There is no better way to get through the morning commute!

I decided to try the Chocolate Cake Phenomenon. Only in my case it was the Homemade Bread Phenomenon. I baked 2 loaves of bread and then asked Heavenly Father who needed a loaf of bread. A dear sister’s name popped into my head and off I went. As I handed her the bread, her face lit up and she told me that she was out of bread and that she had just been thinking about me. We had a nice little chat and both felt uplifted by the experience. It works!! Can’t wait until my next bread baking day.

I love hearing stories of service and ways to do service. Keep it up and hopefully in August I’ll get some cake 😉
