LOVE this podcast!
The hosts Meg and Beandrea are incredibly knowledgeable on film and television. Love hearing them talk about a subject that doesn’t get much airtime at all. It’s a fun and educational listen at the same time!

I’m in lust. You mean womxn have sex? And like to learn about? And have their own hot takes on how sex and sexuality is portrayed in films? YES. And that’s what this podcast is all about. I can’t wait to hear more!

Strong, female-led podcast
This is an awesome premise for a podcast! So much of film is from a male’s perceptive and so much of sex in film is about what men like to see. I’m so proud of Meg and her co-host!!! You ladies rock 👏🏻

So excited for this!
I’ve recently been thinking a lot about how sex scenes are constructed in movies, after having to write a steamy one. This is one exciting discussion, and I’m here for it!

A Refreshing Perspective on Film
CherryPop is a podcast any film lover can put on and enjoy instantly, but its superpower is the lens it uses to examine films through a female gaze. It breaks down the micro and macro effects of portraying women and sex on screen and through personal stories and interviews examines how these portrayals have affected audiences and shaped our culture for generations.

It’s Poppin!
I used to think sex scenes felt cringe-y because I was awkward. But after seeing really well-made and thought out scenes, I realized that it’s not me, it’s them! I’m glad a podcast exists that recognizes the good sex scenes on screen!

FINALLY a female perspective on sex in media
Growing up, it felt like there were very few depictions of Sex on screen that were not made for the male gaze. I LOVE that this podcast will dive into how sex scenes on screen usually sell a false package and share which ones feel authentic and empowering to women.
