We join Michael Darling, Chief Curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago (MCA), and Lauren Peterson, Chicago-Midwest Regional Representative for Phillips, on a tour of Virgil Abloh’s unprecedented exhibition, “Figures of Speech.”

This guided conversation highlights the show with Darling’s insider curatorial knowledge, drawing from three years of close collaboration with Abloh developing the exhibition from conceptualization to completion. The first museum exhibition devoted to Abloh’s work comes full circle for the artist and designer, having grown up in the Chicago area and finding inspiration along Michigan Avenue just blocks away from the MCA.
