Seems like the show is scared to have a conservative pundit on to challenge the progressive panel on the weekly news roundup. Very one sided

I have never wrote a review before let me start with how important that is. This has the be the most thorough explanation of taxes and how they are here within the USA. It is a shame that our taxes have been turned to a tool of greed by outsourcing it to private companies. Our taxes do not need to be complicated. But I will say there should be a required class in school even in highschool since more and more kids are doing social media and need to report that income, and just “normal” jobs. I look forward to the time when my children have the tools necessary for them when they become of age. If not I will provide everything that I have been taught so they don’t waste money on completing their taxes. Thank you again for everything you do for the people here in CLT and surround areas.

I listen to this podcast a few times a week and love the content. Even on topics I’m less interested in, I am always pleasantly surprised. Mike Collins is great! My only issue is on Apple Podcasts the volume is so low, I have to turn the volume to almost twice other podcasts. I don’t want to be dramatic, but I sometimes skip the episode just because the volume is so low and I don’t want my eardrums blown out from either the ads or when the next podcast episode plays.

I’ve listened to Charlotte Talks for years and love Mike Collins as a personality, but his interviewing style overwhelms the conversation See if you notice if his questions to his guests are open-ended “probing” type questions, allowing them to expound, or whether those questions are simply a selection of “muktiple choice” answers. I’ve noticed that. the more passionate he is about the topic, the worse it gets. It’s almost like he's shaping the direction that the discussion will go. Contrast his performance to someone like Eric Spandberg, who occasionally substitutes for Mike. I’ve found that I prefer to listen to Eric’s interviews because I hear moreof the guest an less of the interviewer. I listen to hear “Charlotte Talks” rather than “Mike talks”,

Please… my volume knob can only go so high! Mike sounds like he is 10ft from the microphone (podcast version). Weekly Roundup is the best part. Too much other NPR-type content Mon-Thur.

Mike and the Charlotte Talks team always are on top of the issues facing our city. At a time when we need more local news, they are the best.

is my favorite part of Friday!

For about the past year it felt like the podcast was only Covid and Trump. Generally a good round of topics discussed. I’m basically a Friday listener when multiple topics are presented and reporters brought in to discuss. It’s a little annoying that Axios Charlotte (formerly Charlotte Agenda) is brought to the panel to discuss topics like housing or education when a majority of their social media feed shows restaurants and breweries.

Keep up the great work!!!

Charlotte Talks is a great talk show discussing news and events relevant to the Charlotte Region, especially the Friday News Roundup.

This podcast is great when you can’t listen to the show live. The variety of topics are interesting and the Local News Roundup every Friday is essential listening for any Charlottean.

They do a great job of finding people who are always speaking expertly on the issues that affect Charlotte and the region around us. I never come away without learning something new!
