Welcome to Chantelle Talks, the podcast helping you and me navigate our early careers and connect with, and be inspired by, the best and brightest. This weeks guest needs no introduction. We’ve grown up watching him, learning from him, singing with him and of course, wiggling with him. It’s the Original Yellow Wiggle - Greg Page. The Wiggles have sold more than 23 million DVDs and 7 million CDs, and they have performed, on average, to one million people per year. I chatted with Greg about how the group came to be and their journey to worldwide prominence. Greg also answered some burning questions I’m sure we’ve all wondered, giving us the inside scoop on what it was really like being the Yellow Wiggle; from the songs, the success, the most memorable moments and, unfortunately, the health struggles. Greg opens up about the night of the Bushfire Relief Concert, and how this night that was meant to be a memorable reunion between the original members, became a near-death experience for Greg, suffering a heart attack and sudden cardiac arrest. He has since founded the charity, Heart of the Nation, to use his story to raise awareness and encourage the widespread adoption of AED's in more venues and facilities. Heart of the Nation has exciting initiatives coming up this month that YOU can get involved in. This Restart a Heart Day, Channel 9 will be streaming the World's Largest CPR Class on Saturday the 16th October. With most cardiac arrests happening in the home, CPR is something we should all feel comfortable carrying out. And remember, any attempt at CPR is better than none. I hope you'll join me this October 16th as we tune in for their CPR Class!https://www.heartofthenation.com.auInstagram - @greg_page_yellowwiggleContact Email - [email protected] - @chantelleralev @chantelletalks
