Isaiah The nation of Israel is God’s banner to the nations. What God is proclaiming is that the bible is my word—it is true, it is relevant and it is up-to-date. The entire bible comes to us in the form of a covenant. God is a covenant keeping God. Four thousand years ago, God made a covenant with Abraham and to his descendants that He would give to him a land. God is now saying, “The time has come for me to implement my covenant.”We Christians owe our entire spiritual inheritance to the Jewish people.
