This week, May 2-8 is Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week. We were excited, energized, vulnerable and open to learning more about local resources that can support families experiencing PMADs (Perinatal or postpartum Mood and Anxiety Disorders)on the Central Coast to the CCCN community today. We wanted to thank all in attendance and especially to our speakers. What a wealth of information and resources they shared and ways they support the community. At our first Coffee Connection of 2022, we were joined by local doulas Teresa Gibson, CLD, from SLO Doula Connection, Alexandria Porter, CLD (DONA), from Birth Within Doula, and Alexandra Klein, CLD, from SMV Doula Collective. The CCCN recognizes October as National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month. This month CCCN Members were joined by two guest speakers who guided us through conversations, resources, and support surrounding the topic of grief in pregnancy and infant loss. Ashley Daoust, Certified Birth Doula & Jennifer Rogez, ACSW, PMH-C.

Caitlin Johnson, Certified LEAP Therapist, PCOS Fertility Nutrition, Co-Founder of Food Freedom & Fertility Podcast     At 18 Caitlin was diagnosed with PCOS, she has since spent many years studying nutrition, becoming a dietitian, and ultimately treating women with PCOS to bring them relief from PCOS issues.
