Cassie's Crafting Conundrum
Cassie's Crafting Conundrum
Cassidy Jackson
Welcome to a podcast by a gen z writer for gen z writers! Cassidy Jackson has been writing since she was thirteen years old, but didn't start thinking seriously about publishing until she hit 19 years old. Now she's a young woman and having been raised as a gen z kid, she knows the struggle is real. In this podcast, she will speak with other gen z authors and writers who like her are attempting to balance a life and writing life at the same time. In this seasonal podcast, each week there will be a new episode featuring a new gen z author and their struggles while Cassie shares her own writing story and how she manages to write and be a full time college student at the same time. You can contact her with comments, questions, and inquiries at [email protected]. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Where I've Been
Okay, I admit it, I didn't have the energy to work on the podcast or even writing once last September hit. This is me, in true Cassie fashion, telling you all what I've been up to. I hope you all enjoy this yapping session from me. Even 9 years after leaving California, I still sound so much like I never left. I'm also sick so please bear with me with this episode. Cassie's life from September 2024-July 2025 in a yapping session that I totally got carried away with. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Bonus Episode: College Reflection 3 Years In
It's back to school month and that means I decided to share a little bit of my personal life with you all.In this episode, I talk about how not stereotypical my college experience has because I don't party, I don't drink, I don't even really socialize because I was too busy healing from my past. And you know what, that's totally okay o not to any of the things people "are supposed to do in college". If you get called boring, so be it! I'm so happy and grateful to be called boring.Just attempt to be yourself and you can go far in life! <3 I'm so proud of you!To those of you going into college: you got this! I believe in you so much!To those of us in college: we got this far, we can do it!!!!To those of you out of college: please tell me you found a job you like that sort of uses your degree(s)?The opinions are my own. Season 3 Episode 6: Motivation Can Come From Anywhere (Novels and Real Life) Says Wyatt Madison
How did you all enjoy the cliffhanger? On this continuation of Wyatt Madison 's conversation, we dive into short stories, small vs large writing accounts, life lessons inserted into novels, parents are amazing, lessons learned through writing, "market readers", "everyone has a story", critiquing, social media (again) and more. Wyatt gives insights into what motivates him and this tired college student looks into the tired high schooler's eyes and admires. Seriously, where does this guy find the motivation? This two episode premiere has been emotional for me as I send my "little brother" off into the college abyss in a few months. I'm so excited for him because I know he's got it. I can't help but be the older sister I am and worry for the people I care about. I hope you enjoyed this two episode saga on Wyatt Madison.Wyatt will not be posting anything about the gym so please don't ask him for that content; he's not giving it. You can find him on Instagram (yes, just Instagram) @wyattmadison_author. We do not support J.K. TW: Suicide mention at 58:25Wyatt Madison (he/him) is someone I have adopted into my writing family and he knows this and as an 17 year old high school senior who gets less sleep than I do, I admire this young man for who he is. We discuss everything and the kitchen sink when it comes to emotional turmoil. In this first part: families are everything, Twitter is overstimulating, experimentation on social media, creativity is needed in life, trading English class stories, the human experience (this is most of it) and so much more in part one of two amazing episodes from a guy I'm so proud to call my writing little brother. I hope you enjoy this episode and please do come back next week to hear what he has to say next. Makayla Bryant (she/her), a 22 year old science fiction, fantasy, and dystopian author and I discuss her journey from self publishing in 2020 to the querying trenches in 2024. We also discuss the gatekeeping of the traditional publishing industry, working on things outside of writing because income needs to be made, self promoting on different social medias, the "privacy" in the publishing world, creative faceless videos need to be appreciated, and there needs to be a new standard where "realism" needs to be taken into account. You can find Makayla on Instagram @makaylabryant8 and @makaylabryant88 (twt). Year One Thank You: Than You for One Year of Cassie's Crafting Conundrum
I can not believe it's been a solid year since the first episode came out and the world learned I talk really freaking fast. I can't believe you all have shared, listened, been guests on, and just plain cheered me on for a year. To Mads who got this all started and my in real life friends, family, and supporters who let me do this pretty much in secret.Season one guests: the guinea pigs, the people who took a chance on me and who have become some of my closest friends, I love you all so much.Season two guests: the sophomore season, the season I recorded and still didn't think I was doing the right thing, thank you for letting me into your lives for a little bit. It means so much and I love you.Season three guests: I can't believe I've gotten to talk to some of you and pick your brains on the topics we have talked about. The Golden Season is special in so many ways. I love you all to the moon and back.I can't put into words what you, the listener of this podcast means to me, without you the guests would be shouting into the internet void. Thank you for letting them have their words heard.I am figuring out what I want to do with my life as a STEM major, author, and podcaster and to have this podcast where gen z can be gen z without judgement is truly a gift. Here's to many more years as a podcast host! Words can not describe how much you all mean to me. The opinions are my own. Please reach out if you would like to!
