Today is the deadline for submitting comments to the FDA regarding the NNN content of smokeless tobacco.

CASAA submitted their comment in no small part due to the efforts of Julie Woessner,Brian Carter and Alex Clark with an assist from Amelia Howard.

FDA promulgated a rule January 23 to restrict the level of NNN

This rule was rushed at the very end of the Obama administrations tenure.

A point made by Brian Fotik from the Reason Foundation which should not be overlooked in this mess is that within hours of the rule being published there were comments from the AAP,ACSCAN,AHA,ALA,CFTFK and Truth Initiative.

What the public thinks it knows about smokeless tobacco is not the entire truth of the subject at all.

The same misinformation campagin used against smokeless tobacco is the one being used against vaping as well.
