Have fun listening to its 80’s throwback into for season 1 and it’s terrible 90’s EXTREME intro for season 2…

Lovin the show, you should do an episode of Sheep in the Big City. I feel like it is an under appreciated show that is almost lost to time.

Cartoon Dumpster Dive is a laidback, entertaining and informative podcast. The greatness of this show is not what it is, it’s what it is not. It’s not pretentious. It’s not snarky. It’s not the Simpson’s comic book guy. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. Keep up the good work. I could listen to Joel discuss anything.

There is another podcast that I follow that does cartoons that is coming to an end unfortunantly. I feel like this one will be a great replacement. Only thing I would add, even though this show literally is five stars, are more sound bits from the show. I like the intros and whatnot but the shound clips, like when y'all mention a smart quip from a show, I'd appreciate that in episodes. Keep up the work y'all

First off - every episode is a fun one! And the research they put in is amazing. But the most interesting they do IMO is find crazy cartoons (like Cadillacs and Dinosaurs) and get you interested in them! Not only that, I love the chemistry Joel and Andrew have together. Check it out!

This is a fun show that does deep dives into cartoons we grew up with, often shows that haven’t aged terribly well. Whether you’re a 80s/90s nostalgia junkie, interested in animation history, or just enjoy folks talking about topics related to old cartoons; this show is worth a listen.

Great podcast !!

The amount of research they put into each episode is very impressive, and it shows in both the quality of and analysis within each episode. I jumped right in with the Mario episode, and had a blast listening to them break down the episode, poking fun at all of the ridiculous minutiae from the absurd rap theme songs to the all out rap battle that Mario and Luigi team up to fight in. If you have ever watched a cartoon that was just so terrible, but you had no one to commiserate with, then these guys will be your best friends! It’s great to know you’re not alone in the painful awareness of a truly garbage cartoon show.

All nerds and geeks love the cartoons they grew up with but have you ever been curious about the details? Who voiced your favorite character? Who wrote that unforgettable or terrible theme song? Then subscribe! These guys breakdown cartoons like they are entering a title fight on PPV. It’s quite the enjoyable learning experience.

I was really taken aback by how much I enjoyed this podcast. The episode I listened to was Wish Kid, which is a show I've never heard of and after listening to this - I have become morbidly curious about it. They describe the production details and the oddities surrounding the show in a way that makes the content sound so surreal. Joel and Andrew's chemistry really sells it. They are not afraid to point out how weird these shows can get and laugh at it.

Every episode in cartoon dumpster dive is a mashup of all new and incredible information about the hidden characters in cartoons. The hosts are so funny and have great chemistry too! Definitely subscribing to it

Let me preface this by stating the obvious, Joel and Andrew make a dynamite team. Having literally binged their show already, it becomes incredibly apparent that these two are passionate about the shows they are reviewing. Whether it’s a weird side trip down the rabbit hole or furries (Pun completely intended, or just a love of the media that they are digging up from our past, they gracefully guide you along a Nostalgia fueled trip into cartoon memories most of us probably long since forgot. Lucky for us, these Archeologists of Animation help us remember a time when we were young, with shows that are probably not nearly as good as we remember, and deliver an informative history of the cartoons that time forgot. 10/10 Would Shark Dive again

Great concept and execution. If you loved cartoons growing as a kid (who didn't?) and you're up for a thorough trip down a dark alley called nostalgia, definitely give it a listen.
