• Moses encounters a bush that is burning but the fire does not consume it - God speaks to man • Elijah has wind, earthquake and then fire - God speaks to man Jesus is crucified, appears to the disciples teaches them many truths and then instructs them to wait for the gift. • The upper room, the tongues of fire - God speaks through man.   Acts 2:1-2 When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. 2 And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. 3 And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. TPT On the day Pentecost was being fulfilled,[a] all the disciples were gathered in one place. 2 Suddenly they heard the sound of a violent blast of wind[b] rushing into the house[c] from out of the heavenly realm. The roar of the wind was so overpowering it was all anyone could bear! 3 Then all at once a pillar of fire appeared before their eyes.[d] It separated into tongues of fire that engulfed[e] each one of them. 4 They were all filled and equipped[f] with the Holy Spirit and were inspired[g] to speak in tongues—empowered by the Spirit to speak in languages they had never learned! Mission Minded - "Intentional Participation" Gabriel Menchaca April, 11th, 2021   Being Mission Minded means to live intentionally to fulfill the mission given to us. God sent His Son to us - John 3:16​ For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Jesus gave us the Great Commission - Matthew 28:18-19 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Jesus commissioned us to Make Disciples, Baptize people, and Teach them. "Stay the course" is a phrase used in the context of a war or battle meaning to pursue a goal regardless of any obstacles or criticism Matthew 28:18-20 18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore[c] and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.[d] Mark 16:15 15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they[b] will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Luke 24:46-48 46 Then He said to them, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise[h] from the dead the third day, 47 and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48 And you are witnesses of these things. & Acts 1:8 8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me[a] in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Any follower of Christ is part of sharing the Gospel. The harrowing experience of my Grandfather's slip on black and ice and the subsequent shattering of his hip and the pain and chaotic experience. "When a poor old lady from the village slips on ice, they start planning her funeral..." The local hospital and medical team weren't prepared to help them. They share the time getting treatment From a little village in Russia to finally reaching help in Helsinki. There are so many little miracles in this account.
