Another great episode!
Thank y’all for bringing the fun and spooky show! I love the folklore yall bring around the Halloween season.

Have you done
Andrea & Courtlin Dean in 2000. Almost no media attention and Pickens County would not allow national attention. Horrible story. They went missing in June 2000, Casey Butler led police to the grave in May 2002, Joe Stokes wasn’t sentenced to 2007.

I like to listen on my daily walks.

Would love to hear your take on Charlie’s Place in Myrtle Beach.

The perfect suspect , episode 26
This episode is about my loving Grandmother, it is totally full of lies, Diana Holt had one big imagination, that has traumatized our family for almost a lifetime. She spent her whole career trying to free Elmore, and the stories she came up with about my Grandmother having an affair makes me sick!! My Grandmother had so much grace and was such a beautiful soul. An Artist, sang and played piano at church every Sunday, did beautiful needlepoint. And was the most mannered woman I’ve ever met. I loved her so much and still have to go through therapy at 63 because of this trauma. I can’t believe people enjoy listening to this worst nightmare. Only rated because it wouldn’t let me send without rating, but my rating is zero!!! It is now four years later and this episode 26 about my Grandmothers brutal murder is still on your podcast , I would recommend you have it removed, if not we will hire a lawyer and have you forced to remove it. I told you years ago how traumatic it is to our family and can’t believe you are still podcasting these lies. You people are sick to get off on the tragedies of people’s lives!!! How can you even sleep at night? I’m also going to submit a report on the Apple podcast support report I just discovered.

Matt never disappoints!
I can always count on Matt to make me LOL (have to be careful at work) and he didn’t disappoint in episode 260 with “…all these wild shenanigans, the peeping, tomming…” Great storytelling makes a great podcast!

Love the Lowcountry History
I really enjoyed the episode on my grandfather, Ed McTeer. I did cringe - a lot! - when your co-host referred to him as “Ol’ Eddie”. I guess that comes from not being from the Lowcountry, bless her heart.

One of my favorite podcasts
Hello from a fellow South Carolina podcaster! I’ve been following this podcast since the beginning and love every episode. It’s a great start to my week. Feel free to check out my podcast The Unknown Author Podcast! Love you guys. Keep up the good work.

Best podcast ever!
Love listening to you two and learning some new (to me) facts about SC. I appreciate how respectful you are to the victims of the tragedies you cover. David in Newberry

Just getting started
I came here today to share some honesty only because I heard my name. I was listening to your Dec 7, 2025 episode and heard you mention my name. I probably added your podcast to my list but in all honesty I just started listening to you guys last week. I am on a binge because once I got started I haven’t been able to stop. I really do enjoy listening to you guys. You don’t rush through the story however sometimes the back story of where this crime takes place can be a bit much but I know how to use my fast forward button till I get to the good parts. You keep doing you no complaints because again I just skip to what to what I feel are the good parts. Anyway thanks for the shout out.

I listen to your pod cast every day. I’m catching up. I lived in McColl in the early 2000s but I’m from Virginia. Very close to Cape Charles that you mentioned in an episode. Keep up the fantastic work!

I discovered Carolina Crimes several weeks ago. They join me for all my daily chores. I enjoy history of the area the crimes took place and the way they bring the facts of the crime. Such a fantastic podcast!

One of my favorite podcasts
I was introduced to Carolina Crimes a year ago by my friend, McKenzie, and I have been obsessed ever since. Matt and Danielle do an amazing job of telling the stories (both good and bad) of our great state. I love how they start each podcast with the history and famous people from the specific area of our state! Keep it up Matt and Danielle!

IM SO SAD
I came across Carolina Crimes on Facebook when I saw the case about Fernando Garcia. I am from and still reside in Greenwood, SC. After listening to that episode, I IMMEDIATELY started from the beginning and have listened to every single episode. Now I am so sad that I have to wait to listen once a week. Thank you all for bringing light to each and every one of these crimes.

Great podcast and podcasters Matt & Danielle
A friend of mine suggested Carolina crimes podcast a few years ago and I started listening but since I couldn't listen daily it took a while to catch up with all the episodes. Last fall when I was finally caught up, I messaged Matt and Danielle to tell them how wonderful their podcast was. They not only dig into the history of each case but they cover all of the areas within our state and providing details about those areas is a fantastic added bonus. Just when you think you know everything about Summerville, Charleston, Columbia, you hear about places called Denmark … What? Or North, South Carolina? And so many other areas. I highly recommend you start from episode one and go through each one and as I sit here listening to episode 272 and all caught up I look forward to each week's new episode.

10/10
I found this podcast a few months back and I’m almost caught up. I thoroughly enjoy learning about crimes in the state that I grew up in. Some of the crimes actually happened in my hometown. Enjoy the history in each episode and the dialogue. I can’t wait to hear more!

Better every week
I started listening at episode one just over a year ago. I listen several times a week while I’m cooking and cleaning. Carolina Crimes is my go to “purge the house” series! My 9 year old will walk into the kitchen and ask “are you listening to Carolina Crimes?” 😂 I finally just finished the most recent episode and I’m honestly sad that I’m caught up! Each episode has caught my attention. The facts about each city/town are a great addition! I’ve learned a lot about our state. The way that you guys tell victims stories with such care and speak about them reels me in and I feel connected to them. I have also lost a family member to violence so I truly appreciate that you guys acknowledge the impact left for families/communities after a crime. These are just some of the reasons I enjoy your show so much. Y’all rock! Keep them coming!

I don’t care to listen to inserting yourself into the story way too much I wanna hear about the story then you can say whatever you want not trying to be mean but it’s hard to listen to because it’s hard to stay focused on the story

Losing interest
Starting to lose interest in the podcast. Exorbitant amount of virtue signaling, and the fan girl guests really detract from what this podcast was.

Love this podcast!
I look forward to the new episodes weekly. I “fortunately” started in the middle so when I am looking for one to listen to for a 2nd time in the week, I go back to the ones I haven’t listened to yet (1st half of their seasons)! Love hearing more details on ones I vaguely remember and some that shocked me (Strom’s for example!). Keep up the great work.

As I was born and raised in Florence, how can you miss highlighting one of our MOST famous citizens-Melvin Puris! (Shot John Dillinger, orchestrated the Nuremberg trials and generally a thorn in the side of a jealous J Edger Hoover)

It was worth the binge
I stumbled upon Carolina Crimes Podcast back in August, and as a true-crime lover and a part-time detective in my head, I was immediately hooked. I especially want to highlight the episode covering the Emanuel Nine. As a Charleston native—and as someone who was a former coworker of Cynthia Hurd and a classmate of Tywanza Sanders—it truly meant a lot to hear their story told with care and respect. It made me proud to know their lives and legacy have not been forgotten, especially here at home in Charleston and beyond Emanuel AME Church. This podcast quickly became my go-to for making workdays go by faster… though I guess that means I need to find a new routine now, because by the end of December I had listened to every single episode 🥴. Keep up the amazing work. You’ve got me as a listener for as long as you keep going.

I've been listening to these two wonderful podcasters since almost their beginning. Love the stories you tell, both do a great job and appreciate the time and effort you put into your show. I usually listen at work and commuting to and from work. I've also listened while driving to South Carolina! My wife and I were married at the Myrtle Beach state park a little over 4 years ago and love it there. Keep up great work and I'll continue to listen! Andy from Kentucky
